Kelvarr
So I found this All-Star Stadium (based off of Great American Ballpark) that someone from here did, but removed all things Cininnati Reds related. I was wanting to use this stadium for my White Sox Dynasty, replacing US Cellular. I know the trick of taking the stadium file and renaming it to usceday.big. Doing this results in a few graphical glitches, such as pitchers warming up on the Warning Track, and bench players being planted in the ground in foul territory. I was expecting this, as it has been said numerous times in other threads. What I didn't find was an answer of whether it had been fixed or not, or if anyone knows what files the game uses to determine that. Also, I have been using kumala's datafile lately, and on some batted balls to my players, it seems as though the CPU is controlling the players just a bit too long (I play with manual fielding, which means that the CPU takes the first few steps for you). Is there any way to shorten that time? TL;DR version: I have a couple of questions: 1) Is there any files that can be edited to put the players in the dugout rather than being planted in the ground? 2) Is there any way to edit the datafile so that the amount of time that the CPU controls your fielder is shorter? dannyt
Has anyone found a fix or know how to fix Kelvarr's problem in Kumala's datafile? The CPU holds on to the fielder too long. I'm missing some dives in the infield that I usually can make.
Jim825
If you know that the stadium was based upon Great American Ballpark, then you need to get the stadium .txt file that corresponds to that stadium out of the datafile.big file. Here's what you need to do: 1. Using a tool like EAGraph or BigGUI, open up MVP Baseball 2005 data datafile datafile.big and extract the file gabaday.txt. 2. Rename the gabaday.txt file to usceday.txt 3. Move this new usceday.txt file to your MVP Baseball 2005 data folder. Now when you play in U.S. Cellular Field, everything should be in the right place. As far as your datafile question (regarding the CPU control of the fielder), I'm not sure what (if anything) can be done about that.
dannyt
I wonder what Kumala did? His datafile holds on to that fielder just a second or two longer than any other datafile I've used. Anyone else know what could be the problem?
kumala
it has to do with fielder controller reaction. Its in the skillbase area of the datafile. I will check it and let you know what value to change. This was to allow more groundballs to get through.
kumala
its values 12 and 13 of skillbase. it is labeled userassisttime.
Toleton
Hi folks!! I post my question here as I think it has to do with the subject in this thread. I am using MVP 07 and when I select the Old Fenway Stadium for playing it has an old movie appearence all the way through on screen. It is a remarkable job to achieve such effect, but is difficult for me to play. First I thought this effect was included particularly in the fencday.big file that came with MVP 07, but when I tried to replace it with other fencday.big mods I found, it shows a bunch of characters glittering on screen so the old movie effect in this case is distorted, appart from this the stadium is OK. I noticed it is also the same with other modded stadiums based on fencday.big. Is such effect located in some part of the datafile.big?? how can I eliminate it to play in a normal view?? redsox
Turn off Cooperstone effect. The toggle is in one of the options screen.
