JOET
Hey Guys I found in an old post - its is the file that moves the annoying pitch meter over the umpire. This also allows you to keep your eyes close to the strike zone when pitching instead of looking way over to the left or right to use the pitch meter. See the photo - Now i need help from someone to tell how to do the following to make it happen for me and anyone that also wants it. I need to use a file i have and repack it into the ingame.big file Thats it ..................Or to do it manually edit these lines in the fes_ingameoverlay.fel file. 3 lines appear twice on lines 174-176 and again on lines 182-184. They all need to be changed. see the lines below..............Thanks JoeT SH:BGCOLOR,1,0,355,235,100,100,1,1,1,1,6,BPP2,BPP2,1,0,0,255,0,100,1,-1,0,1,0,0,0,0 SH:FILLCOLOR,1,0,355,235,100,100,1,1,1,1,6,BPP3,BPP3,1,0,0,255,0,100,1,-1,0,0,0,0,0,0 SH:OUTLINE,1,0,355,235,100,100,1,1,1,1,1,BPP1,BPP1,1,0,0,255,0,100,1,-1,0,1,0,0,0,

Trues
You might find what you're looking for here in the original thread. http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Foru...tch+meter+metre
JOET
The thread you recommended does not tell you how to modify , or what to use to modify the ingame.big file. That is the problem. Everyone has read the thread. Still need some info to get it done.
Trues
Ok, follow these steps: 1. Download and unzip this file 2. Place the ingame.big file of your choice in the folder you just unzipped. 3. Double click on the unpack.bat file. This will unpack and decompress the fes_ingameoverlay.fel file. 4. Open the fes_ingameoverlay.fel file in a text editor of your choice. 5. Edit the lines as shown in this post. 6. Save file. 7. Double click on the compress.bat file. 8. Double click on the repack.bat file. 9. Place the updated ingame.big file in your MVP Baseball 2005datafrontend dir. That's it! Remember, you'll have to experiment moving the meter around as it depends on which camera views (datafile) you're using. Hope this helps.

Edam
I had different results. The game crashed using the lines in this thread. My view is facing the pitcher when pitching. Taken from a different mod's ingame.big, I made the following changes to get the PM over the umpire: In the first instance of those 3 lines: SH:BGCOLOR,1,0,150,144,100,100,1,1,1,1,6,BPP2,BPP2,1,0,0,255,0,100,1,-1,0,1,0,0,0,0 SH:FILLCOLOR,1,0,150,144,100,100,1,1,1,1,6,BPP3,BPP3,1,0,0,255,0,100,1,-1,0,0,0,0,0,0 SH:OUTLINE,1,0,150,144,100,100,1,1,1,1,1,BPP1,BPP1,1,0,0,255,0,100,1,-1,0,1,0,0,0,0 and in the second: SH:BGCOLOR,1,0,160,144,100,100,1,1,1,1,6,BPP2,BPP2,1,0,0,255,0,100,1,-1,0,0,0,0,0,0 SH:FILLCOLOR,1,0,160,144,100,100,1,1,1,1,6,BPP3,BPP3,1,0,0,255,0,100,1,-1,0,0,0,0,0,0 SH:OUTLINE,1,0,160,144,100,100,1,1,1,1,1,BPP1,BPP1,1,0,0,255,0,100,1,-1,0,0,0,0,0,

Iceman
I know that depending on which datafile you have, the location of the pitch meter with these values will vary. With the aformentioned values and MD's Datafile with Pitch Cam #6 from Pared, the pitch meter is on the batter's midsection, if he's batting righty. Can anyone with the same camera view as me (I believe it's popular) tell me which values put it to how it is in the above picture? Please? :balloons:

Trues
Try this file. pitchmeter.rar Extract the contents of this file to your MVP Baseball 2005datafrontend dir and double click on the repack.bat file.
Iceman
Thanks Trues! You are the man! It even yellowed the name of the pitch. I kinda like it.
Smokin_Joe
Oh man am i glad i stumbled on this thread. That is exactly what i needed. Now I can pitch in view 6 again, thanks Trues! Love the yellow pitch name too. :)
tribefanisu2003
Try this file. pitchmeter.rar Extract the contents of this file to your MVP Baseball 2005datafrontend dir and double click on the repack.bat file. I tried doing this last night, but when I double-clicked the repack.bat file, it just kind of flashed what looked like a dos window real quickly, and that's it. I went into the game to see if it worked, and the pitch meter was still in the same place. What might I be doing wrong?
xiberger
tribefanisu2003, did you extract all three files from the .rar. archive before double-clicking repack.bat?
tribefanisu2003
I believe so. I'm nearly positive I did. I'm actually at my work comp right now, so I can't check. So, just in case I did do that, and it still didn't work, are there any other possible solutions? I know it's such a vague request when worded like that, but our internet is down at home right now, so I really would like to be able to figure out some possible solutions before I leave here today so I can hopefully get it figured out tonight. I've been getting absolutely shellacked on the PC version on All-Star, whereas on PS2 version, I was playing on MVP, strike zones and hot cold zones off, and was still putting up ridiculous pitching #'s. Thanks for your answer though. That will be the first thing I check when I get home tonight.
