mortehl
So, I tortured myself for a weekend trying to figure out how to hit and I finally figured out how to explain it: There are two buttons involved primarily. The set button and the swing button. What you need to do is hit them rapidly when you want him to swing. Set and then swing. You don't set yourself and wait for the pitch. It has to be done in very rapid succession. Bang, Bang. The default buttons for it are numpad 2 for set and then numpad 8 for swing. It actually is VERY easy once you get the hang of it. Go into practice mode and mess with it.
Wicked420
Or, you can set it to classic hitting and completely ignore the set button, and just swing.

Hi to all, and taking profit that Wicked420 mentioned the classic hitting, I read that "classic" term in a manual I downloaded, as a matter of fact the manual refers to classic batting and classic pitching. Game default is set to full control, but there is no way I found how to change to "classic", please help
mortehl
I never figured out how to change it to classic either, so I just ground out about 200 pitches in practice mode till I was able to get it working :D
