  1. Brazilian Baseball Championship '23 (Campeonato Brasileiro de Beisebol Adulto 2023)

    Hello Everybody!

I was browsing, just for some giggles, witch teams in my country (Brazil) was playing and if they had an Brazilian Baseball League, turns out not only they do, but my hometown (Atibaia) won 8 whole times!
So, as an native, i HAD to make an mod for SMB about the tournament, and I did, with a lot of work (i had to make every logo by hand because i didn't know how to import logos 😓) and frustration, it's ready!
This is 10 teams from this year CBBA (Brazilian Adult Baseball Championship, translating freely), it's not the accurate rules, since they had a weird 3 round robin format that the game doesn't support, so I made a single conference 20 game franchise and 4 teams playoffs
One other thing, IT DOESN'T HAVE THE PLAYERS, since getting the players names was really really hard, i couldn't take the names of all players, but if my fellow Brazilian players could take any names, let me know and i will gladly put then in the pack!

Thanks everyone, and I hope you like it!

  2. SMB3 MLB 23 Team Pack

Updated rosters for all 30 MLB team for 2023 season.

This team pack is based on SMB3 MLB21 Team Pack (OOTP v1.0) 1.0.0 made by Project Randall.

I reworked all ratings (and added new players) based on OOTP24 ratings similarly how original creators did it for 2021 rosters but took another route while assigning perks:

    - every batting perk is assigned to top 5% of batters in each category, every pitching perk is assigned to 5% of SP and 5% of RP
    - POW vs RHP/LHP is awarded to players with highest difference between slug vs RHP/LFP and overall slug in 2022,
    - CON vs RHP/LHP is awarded to players with highest difference between OPS vs RHP/LFP and overall OPS in 2022.
    - RBI man/RBI dud is awarded to players with highest positive/negative difference between OPS  w/RISP and overall OPS in 2022.
    - High/Low/Inside/Outside is awarded to players with highest difference between OPS  when hitting pitches is each location and overall OPS in 2022.
    - Tough Out/Whiffer is awarded to players with highest/lowest K% when facing 2 strike count
    - Stealer/Bad Jumps is based on steal success rate and how those steal attempts affected overall game result
    - Utility is given to players experienced in playing 3 or more positions
    - Speacialist is awarded to players with highest difference between FIP when facing same handed batters and overall FIP
    - Composed/BB prone is based on BB% percentage when facing 3 ball counts
    - K Man/K Dud is based on K% when facing 2 strike count

    Few more things to note:
    - there are two Shohei Ohtanis -one is RF with 0 defense and other is "real" two way Ohtani; this way CPU will DH "fielder" Ohtani
    - some teams have 4 starters and 1 SP/RP who in real life is actually SP. I decided to do this because it would be a shame to not have some notable SPs in the game just because SMB decided 4-man rotations is a way to go
    - these are not Opening Day rosters, I decided to put in some notable guys who will come off IL later in a season (e,g, Bryce Harper, Liam Hendricks) or are out for the season (e.g. Rhys Hoskins). Probably will update this after all star break and/or trade deadline

  3. All-Time MLB Rosters

I created an All-Time team for each MLB team. Each player was only used once and priority was given to the team the player had the most service time for.

Pitches are now accurate for every player as well.

  8. NCAA College Baseball Team Pack for Super Mega Baseball 3

Here's 112 NCAA baseball teams created for the PC version of Super Mega Baseball 3. Make sure you use the SMB3 team transfer tool to add these to your game.

This team pack now includes every active power-5 team, in addition the the American Athletic Conference and several other mid-majors. These are team designs only, random players were used for these teams. SMB3 also has a pretty limited selection of stadiums, so those may need to be tweaked to your liking.

What's new in v1.1 (9/19/21): Touched up several logos and uniforms. Added a Texas Longhorn logo to avoid confusion with Tennessee

What's new in v1.2 (10/18/21): Added 16 new teams: BYU, Cal State Fullerton, Duke, Fordham, Houston, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State (defunct), Minnesota, Oregon State, TCU, Tulane, UC Santa Barbara, Virginia Tech, Washington. Touched up a handful of logos and uniform designs from previous teams. Fixed one of Texas' helmets being the wrong color

What's new in v1.3 (11/7/21): Added 16 new teams: Appalachian State, Baylor, Cincinnati, Colorado (defunct), Connecticut, Fairfield, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Oregon, Penn State, St. John's, UCF, Utah, West Virginia, Wake Forest. This team pack now includes 64 teams, which is enough to fill two entire max-capacity leagues in SMB3. Added a Kansas State wildcat logo. Added a new primary logo for Mississippi State. Fixed every logo that previously relied on unnecessary background layers, allowing for all team logos to be displayed with full transparency (these previously included logos used for Tennessee, Arkansas, North Carolina, Texas). Updated logo designs for teams that previously used less accurate fonts in their logos, though not quite all (yet). Several other minor tweaks to uniforms and logos from previous teams. Put together a preview album that includes logos and uniforms for all 64 teams that have been created up to this point: https://imgur.com/a/8e2S4Ok

    What's new in v1.4 (12/21/21):
Added 36 new teams: Arizona State, Boise State (defunct), Boston College, California, Central Michigan, Charlotte, Furman (defunct), Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Kansas, Long Beach, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Louisville, Marshall, Maryland, Memphis, NC State, Nevada, Pitt, Purdue, Rice, Richmond, Rutgers, San Diego State, Southern Miss, Texas Tech, Troy, UC Irvine, UCLA, USF, Villanova, Virginia, Washington State, Western Kentucky, Wichita State. This pack now includes 100 teams with every active power-5 team (+AAC) represented. Added new primary logos for LSU, Illinois and Clemson. Fixed USC primary logo. Fixed Vanderbilt "star" logo and away uniform stripe color. Fixed Oklahoma State's cap logo and uniform. Fixed the logo outline thickness on Auburn's home uniform. Added an outline to Cincinnati logo for improved visibility. Created a preview album for all 36 newly added teams: https://imgur.com/a/jOOPj7Z

  11. SMB3 MLB21 Team Pack (TSR V 1.0)

Project Randall (formally Project Awesome) team would like to share with the Super Mega Baseball community our MLB 30 team pack for your enjoyment. Our pack aims to bring all 30 Major League teams to the SMB3 world to enjoy alongside Metalhead Software’s pre existing teams. A lot of hard work and collaboration went into gathering stats, developing helper tools, and compiling, tweaking, or creating from scratch the absolute best logo representations around.  We are quite proud of the final product which is a direct result of our team’s dedication to recreating all 30 MLB teams in the SMB3 universe. We hope you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed creating it!

    Features:
Realistic logos and uniforms for all 30 MLB teams
Current rosters for all 30 MLB teams
Pitchers have real to life windups, pitch types and arm angles
Recreated all MLB players within SMB3
Unique likenesses for each individual player
Unique custom stats for each individual player
Unique gear and equipment for each individual player
    Correct player ages
    Traits included

Link to AFerrea’s (JudgeZarbi) Transfer Tool for installing!

We want to thank Randallb21 for making this happen as without him this may not have happened.

    Rating System Explanation
Our rating system is derived from MLB The Show 20 ratings.  Contact and Power stats were taken by the average of the left/right split.  Fielding was taken by an average of fielding and reaction ratings.  Arm was taken as an average of arm strength and arm accuracy ratings.  Speed was a straight one to one pull.

Velocity, Junk, and Accuracy were a straight one to one pull from Velocity, Break, and Accuracy.

    Traits
Traits were determined by taking career and 2020 season stats depending on the stat. League average was calculated then compared against league average per each player. Traits were awarded to players that were significantly above or below the league average. Traits were not balanced within the team; every team should have around the same number of positive and negative traits. League-wide there were at least 10 players and not more than ~60 players with that trait.

    FAQ

Q: How do I install this wonderful teampack?
A: With Ferrea's PC Team Transfer Tool that you can find here.
    Q: Why isn’t player X on Y team?
A: We know that everything isn’t going to be 100% accurate due to Trades/ DFA’s/ Free Agency/ and Call-ups/Send-downs taking place all the time.
    Q: Why is my team's logo/uniform X or Y?
A: There is only so much we can do with the built in editor and there is also a layer limit that we have to work within. We all want them as accurate as possible; we did the best we could within the game limitations.
Q: Why are some of the away uniforms the team’s alternative colored versions?
A: While we understand this isn’t the normal for away jerseys. We enjoy incorporating more color to our uniform designs. This game is fun and colorful so we wanted to add our own color to the MLB teams.
Q: Why does player X only have Y for his Power stat, he totally is a prospect and will be hitting .525 by the end of his career?
A: First of all please refer to the section regarding how we determined our stats for this project. We also built our rosters on current playing players that were active on the team. We stayed away from projecting our opinions and assumptions on how we think a player will perform in the future. The rosters created are based on the rosters of today; we may provide an update at the end of the season to bring the rosters inline with how they may have changed.
Q: Can I change a player's stats to whatever I want and make them look how I see fit?
A: Of course you can! This game is all about creating and sharing and we want you to change whatever you want to. We just ask a couple things. Please only make these changes for your personal use only. Please don’t re-release our work as your own.
Q: Will you release an OOTP version of this roster set?
A: Yes. An OOTP version will be coming soon!

  12. SMB3 MLB21 Team Pack (OOTP v1.0)

The Project Randall (formally Project Awesome) team would like to share with the Super Mega Baseball community our MLB 30 team pack for your enjoyment. Our pack aims to bring all 30 Major League teams to the SMB3 world to enjoy alongside Metalhead Software’s pre existing teams. Our design philosophy was to create all 30 MLB teams in SMB3 rated in such a way that they can compete with the game’s stock teams. High ratings of 99 have been reserved for the truly outstanding players!

This year we have brought you two options!  You can use this file which bases ratings from "Out of the Park Baseball" or you can use our other file which uses a "MLB The Show" ratings base.

    Features:
Realistic logos and uniforms for all 30 MLB teams
Current rosters for all 30 MLB teams
Pitchers have real to life windups, pitch types and arm angles
Recreated all MLB players within SMB3

Unique gear and equipment for each individual player
    Correct player ages

We want to thank Randallb21 for making this happen as without him this may not have happened.

    Rating System Explanation
Our rating system is derived from OOTP ratings, which for the current year are based in turn on ZiPS predictions.

Key points to note about our conversions:
Out of the Park Baseball (OOTP) ratings typically run from 0-200 rather than 0-99, so scaling is a simple case of dividing by two
Every stat is increased by 8% in order to give numbers that are fairly competitive with the stock teams
All stats are capped between 1 and 99 in their respective categories after all of the calculations have been performed
Whenever rounding needs to be performed, it's always rounded down.

    Power
For power, contact, junk, accuracy, the vsL and vsR ratings are added together and then divided by four. (Divided by two to average, then divided by two again to scale to SMB2)

    ARM
For arm, we simply divide the relevant arm rating by two. For IF primaries this is IF arm, for OF primaries it's OF arm and for C primaries it's C arm.

    Fielding
For fielding, we combine the range and error ratings and divide by four. The types follow the same as arm, except that for C primaries we simply divide catcher ability by two.

    VEL
For velocity, we take the center of the MPH range given by OOTP, and add a random amount of velocity between -0.5 and +0.5 MPH. This allows pitchers who are listed as having the same velocity range to have different velocities. We then scale the velocity between 85 MPH at 1 velocity, and 99 MPH at 99 velocity. The downside of this system is that repeatedly generating stats will give differing velocities to each pitcher (unless they fall well off the top or the bottom of the scale). We decided this trade-off was worth it to avoid the situation where every pitcher with a certain range would have identical velocity.
The formula to convert MPH to a velo stat is given as ((mph - 85) * (98/14) + 1). Apply the 8% increase after.

    Speed
Speed was a tough decision to make. It was hard to find a formula that would give good results for both modern and historical players. Eventually, we settled on using a combination of fielding range, stealing ability, and running speed.

    Traits
Traits were determined by taking career and 2019 season stats depending on the stat. League average was calculated then compared against league average per each player. Traits were awarded to players that were significantly above or below the league average. Traits were not balanced within the team; every team should have around the same number of positive and negative traits. League-wide there were at least 10 players and not more than ~60 players with that trait.

    Trait Spreadsheet

    Positional Stats
For P/IF primaries, we use running speed, stealing ability, and IF range, and divide by six. (Divided by three to average, then two again to scale)
For OF primaries, we use running speed, stealing ability, and OF range, and divide by six.
For C primaries, since they don't have a range, we use running speed and stealing ability alone and divide by four.

A: First of all please refer to the section regarding how we determined our stats for this project. We settled on stats for players that fit within existing SMB2 teams so that we could use our MLB teams to play against the already awesome teams the developers created. We also built our rosters on current playing players that were active on the team. We stayed away from projecting our opinions and assumptions on how we think a player will perform in the future. The rosters created are based on the rosters of today; we may provide an update at the end of the season to bring the rosters inline with how they may have changed. In addition, OOTP tends to underrate prospects until they prove that it is their actual skill level.
Q: Why is the VEL stat for X not his exact real life MPH?
A: This ties into our design philosophy and making sure the players fit in the SMB2 world. We scaled the VEL stat to reflect their real life MPH and also create diversity between pitchers. We did not want everyone with 95~ VEL. In addition, we wanted to be able to use the same formula for historical players, where PitchF/X data is not available, so compromises had to be made.
Q: Can I change a player's stats to whatever I want and make them look how I see fit?
A: Of course you can! This game is all about creating and sharing and we want you to change whatever you want to. We just ask a couple things.

Please only make these changes for your personal use only. Please don’t re-release our work as your own.

  16. World Baseball League 32 Teams

I created this league because I've always wanted to play in a league with different countries included. I created the nicknames and uniforms of the teams and renamed all the players to be realistic based on their country and history, etc. I only updated the attributes of one player (Kenny Powers #55 USA) 😛

I hope you enjoy this and look forward to playing you online sometime! My account on Steam is: Gillactic

  17. Project Randall MLB 2020 Teampack SMB3

The PR (formally Project Awesome) team would like to share with the Super Mega Baseball community our MLB 30 team pack for your enjoyment. Our pack aims to bring all 30 Major League teams to the SMB2 world to enjoy alongside Metalhead Software’s pre existing teams.
Our design philosophy was to create all 30 MLB teams in SMB2/3 rated in such a way that they can compete with the game’s stock teams. High ratings of 99 have been reserved for the truly outstanding players!

A lot of hard work and collaboration went into gathering stats, developing helper tools, and compiling, tweaking, or creating from scratch the absolute best logo representations around.  We are quite proud of the final product which is a direct result of our team’s dedication to recreating all 30 MLB teams in the SMB2/3 universe. We hope you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed creating it!

    Features:
Realistic logos and uniforms for all 30 MLB teams
Current rosters for all 30 MLB teams
Pitchers have real to life windups, pitch types and arm angles
Recreated all MLB players within SMB2/3
MLB teams fit in with developer created teams
Unique likenesses for each individual player
Unique custom stats for each individual player
Unique gear and equipment for each individual player
Link to AFerrea’s (JudgeZarbi) Transfer Tool for installing!
We want to thank Randallb21 for making this happen as without him this may not have happened.

    Rating System Explanation

    Fielding
