2017 MLB BaseUp! Rosters for MVP (All-Star Break Update) 1.2.0

For anyone that wants to use the latest and best rosters for Mvp you have to look no further than Gordo's set of rosters. They are flawless and accurate and extremely well made. Thank you once again.

Can we use TiT to install these rosters? It seemed to work with your June update.

I am going to give you a quick lesson on reading directions. If you pay attention it will help you when you try to install other mods.

Look at what Gordo wrote in the file description:

INSTALLATION:  place this rar file into the database subfolder (where your 19 .dat files are).  DELETE the existing 19 .dat files first.  Then, unzip/rar this file to this location.  DO NOT SIMPLY DO AN OVERWRITE!!

No where you will find that it says "use TiT to install this roster." You will not even find the word TiT there.

Now follow closely. You DELETE the 19 .dat files in the data/database folder and hen when you are done you unzip or unrar this file in there. Don't overwrite them. All I am telling you is what Gordo's instructions said to do.

As you can see in my comment to Gordo...using TiT worked with his last roster update in June. I read the directions and was simply asking a follow up question.

More so, if you look at his last roster update (the June update I've mentioned)--there were no installation instructions, invoking me to ask the follow up question to Gordo's instructions on this post. Thank you for the clarification and "lesson."

Y4L -- it's okay.  I'll answer questions/comments as they come in.

Hank:  well, if TiT worked for you last time, all I can say is have at it and see how that works.  If not, then you have the method I mentioned. All good, man.

I have tried this five times. And yes I have followed the directions explicitly.

Installed the game

Downloaded the roster file to another directory.

When the game is installed I have deleted all the *.dat files in the database directory

Copy the rar file over to the database directory

unrarerd the file

MVP will start, but when it goes to an actual game after I choose my teams and uniforms, it crashes back to the desktop.  Windows 7 OS

Computer was 2012 so I know I have the muscle to run it.

Any thoughts...

What version of the game are you running?  The native install with official patch 3?  One of the Total Conversion mods?  I would try TC mod 12, 13, or 14.  As far as how you are trying to bring the rosters in, that is correct; it's an unraring to the database subfolder from where you deleted the existing 19 .dat files.

Native Install without a patch.  Maybe I will try to patch it, and see if that works.  Thank you

Still crashed... Oh well, guess I will just play the 05 rosters..... I don't even remember some of these guys.

Install original game and patch with official patch #3.  Take that entire folder and copy it.  Rename the copied folder.  Install MVP 12 to that copied folder.  Do not further mod.  Try to play MVP 12.

If this works, then try to load these rosters.  There will be mismatches for sure, but see if it's stable to play.  Report back please.

You sir, are a miracle worker. Your latest fix works like a dream. I can finally play my beloved Pirates with the current  team. Yes my rosters are so current, I might have to suspend Starling Marte' Again I thank you for your help.
