the correct color codes

Normal Install instructions

WARNING BACK UP ORIGINAL FILES as these will overwrite the originals.Unzip into

the main mlb2k12 folder.Start game these will NOT have the correct color codes because

of the way 2k does their files

Generic Mod Enabler(use the files in the normal install)

This is the best way for those who dont have tys editor and dont want to over write the originals.

Download from http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/products-jsgme.html

and follow thier directions.Once installed there should be a folder called *MODS*

Inside this folder u can create another folder. For example if u just want national league

modded unis name a folder NATIONAL LEAGUE and place my unzipped uni files

inside this folder.Start the enabler and choose the folder that has the mods

then start the game and the unis should be available. If u want to revert back to the originals

then just shut down the enabler again these will not have the correct color codes

With the abrupt departure of both NYC national league clubs to the west coast in 1958,

future league expansion was a certainty.NY was too lucrative of a market to be denied

NL baseball for too long after supporting 2 teams for so long. When the announcement

for 2 new franchises(Houston and NY) came a poll was launched to select a nickname

for the new yorkers. The final selection was a rsuurection of a 19th century NYC team

name-the Metropolitans or the Mets for short. The team colors were to be blue and orange.

The Ny monogram was borrowed from the departed Giants and a circular team emblem

was to be worn on the sleeve. The home uni took a cue from the neighboring Yankees

including the pin stripes. The overall effect was clean and classic as there were no

piping or striped socks.A slanted script Mets graced the front in royal blue with orange border.

Socks undershirt and cap were solid blue. The grey road emploed small piping around the collar

and New York in arched fancy capitals, royal blue with orange trim.

The first few years at the polo grounds were a major struggle.Casey Stengels

pick up team was so enept in the early years with 120 losses in 62 and 100+

for the next three years. The uniforms remained unchanged(except for a number

added on the front in 1965 and lasted thru 1975 when they changed the road

jersey from the new york lettering to the the script mets lettering on the front.

And one minor change that only lasted in 1964 and 65 season was a worlds fair

patch.

In 1978 the mets altered thier uniform design to incorporate the double knit jerseys.

The new shirts were a pullover with a couple buttons at the neck.Orange and blue

striping at the sleeve ends and around the collar.

The following files are from the 1965 and 1997 mets and are the away and alt h.

The patch thats on the 1997 jersey is a 50th anneversary patch for Jackie Robinson

coming into the major leagues
