No Jose Quintana ............

Thank you very much for the update cayberfaces ID list ..........

With Quintana currently being a #5 and the types of injuries the CWS have, or should I say don't have, he was't moved up. But I should have enough data to include him at this point and exchange him for Axelrod who has less time. Good point!

Thanks guys. The weird thing is that I have had "temporary crashes" both online and off. Hard to explain, but the upside is that when I go right back into the same game matchup, there is no problem. It's almost like the game re-syncs itself with the new cyber or something. But it does end up working.

Thanks. You need to give specifics as before if there is any chance to recreate your problem. Plus, if you are adding cyberbaces via MVPedit, there could be an issue. Team? Opponent? Exact schedule type / date? What I can tell you is that I can take your teams and run them through the beta version of MVP '12 that I have been testing and see if I can recreate it, or if it will be a future problem.

mlev. I don't know if you're installing these cybers over top of an 05 install (which I wouldn't do) versus the 08 TC mod, patches or what. I really don't think schedules matter unless they are somehow corrupted themselves. I have the beta '12 TC mod, my latest rosters, the '12 schedule and I have added no additional cybers created recently, nor anything other than a datafile.txt I use for the game play that I like. I simmed through an entire season with the SDP as seen in these screens (I didn't change the date on the schedule, so that is why it's still says "2005"):

I'm using it on the MVP 08 tc mod. I had the same issues with your last release too. I tries someone else's rosters, and no crashes to report. I'm curious to know what is causing the crash

Can't help you with that. Once you get the TC '12 and add nothing to it initially and can sim a season through with your team, let me know.

I see he's pitched 18 innings in 3 games, so no wonder I missed him. He's presently on the 40 man, but not the 25. Minor oversight, but I can include him in the next set. How do you like the rosters? Realistic relative batting attributes? Remember no one gets 100 -- those guys are dead.

They are great! I had to start a new dynasty with your roster because the facepack didn't work with the old rosters I was using.

Comments on Attributes (please take this ONLY as constructive criticism, as you do an awesome job - far better than I could ever do). I was also wondering if you use a specific database as a reference.

Being a Met fan, here's my review for their MLB team:

Jason Bay - his numbers vs rhp should be lower than his numbers vs lhp

Daniel Murphy - his batting ratings seem too low

Kirk Niewnhuis - his batting ratings seem too low, especially vs rhp

Reuben Tejada - batting ratings too low (he's batting 325) and his fielding ratings should be better

RA Dickey - his knuck control should be increased, and is there any way to add a slow knuckler (maybe as a knucklecurve)?. Also his pickoff move is pretty good, and you have him as 0

Jon Niese - He should have more control, especially on his cutter

Johan Santana - Changeup speed should be slower (avg speed this year is 77.4),

Once again - you do an awesome job, and I'm just trying to be of help.

Love constructive criticism. The base for my batting changes started last year. In short, longer term players get to take a 5 year stretch of BA and SLG% and then I work them against the split for the most current year. So it's not just based on how a player is doing presently, that would be impossible to maintain. E.g., Jason Bay wouldn't have enough games in this year to justify any changes. But you are correct and I seemed to miss something last year with him and can adjust that. Murphy is a little easier to figure as I can take his career splits. And I agree again....could be higher (see.... critique like this since last year would have helped me build better rosters for this year). Niewy should have more of a split, but I wouldn't give him full contact attribute that I would to a vet considering a lot can happen by next year and he's only got <80 games under his belt. You're also right about Dickey and the knucklecurve crossed my mind to add since I heard them talking about his variations in knucklers..... definite needed addition. Pickoffs moves are arbitrary. Tough to set. Mainly did a global edit for pitchers to highly reduce pickoffs and fielding since they were behaving unrealistic in both areas of the game. Pitch control overall is tough because I need something to base it off, not just a "feel" or impression people have, especially of their own teams. Santana's speeds certainly have changed overall this year, but now that I look at it, his movement is too excessive and he has added a 2 seamer (or always had it and since being out most of last year, it was eliminated erroneously).

Thanks for the help!

Happy to be of help. I compared your numbers to those on fangraphs, and the fact that I only had a few points, proves the rosters' accuracy. Keep it up

If you can find me some type of even basic rating of fielding attributes (even some kind of simple scale for throw accuracy, range, etc.), speed or anything else, I'd love it. thx. Btw, with the changes you suggested the batting for the Mets went from 21 overall to 15. I know they're presently in top 10, but again, I can't just do the present season numbers as they would get outdated too quickly.

Also, Phase 5 will see many players who have been on longer term DL's returned as they are scheduled to be back in July and August. Players scheduled to be out longer will still be off the rosters.

Could this be a start?
