do you extract the mod to the root of the game? or do you need to just exract it anywhere?

hey guys can someone help me? I installed the mod exactly like you said to with a clean copy of the game but the game closes when i try to play a game or create or edit a player. Help me please and thank you.

I'm having the same problem! And yes, I'm using a legit CD copy of the game if that helps.

But aside from that, thanks again to everyone who contributed to this brilliant mod!

What does 'Patch #2' (in ***NOTES***) mean?

Do I have to install 'Official Patch #1 & #2' before extracting the 'MVP12' files?

For some reason, when I try to replace the datafile, no chances are made. I prefer the 2005 datafile. What am I doing wrong?

This is amazing! But, for some reason the ages of the players are really bizarre. For example, Mike Trout is listed as 13 years old. Is that happening for anyone else?

Read kyleb's instructions and the rest of the comments section. You need a clean install of MVP 05 and the official patch #2 installed as well. If you wish to keep a clean version, create another folder and copy the complete contents to a new folder, then install the 2012 mod to that folder. It is easy like Windows Explorer to point to it as the root folder and install. When you start the game start the main exe from the new mod folder for 2012. The only thing I have seen that needs correction is Jason Heyward is right-handed in the new mod, just a minor thing to correct. Overall, excellent work guys! If you search other total conversion mods you can see how other people install those mods. The same should work for this one, too.

I still like using my copy of the 2008 mod with updates and the latest rosters but that is a whole different scenario and setup, daflyboys rock!

There weren't actually any changes. I only updated the description to include the recommendation to turn off the "Cooperstown Effect."

is it normal that both Yankee Stadium , and the Miami marlins field revert to their old fields? and that the nationals field just crashes when trying to load it in exhibition?

This mod is FANTASTIC!!! Two years ago I had finally given up on MVP05 after many years of enjoyment. The game got stale and even the great mods still being produced couldn't keep my interest. It seemed like it was just too much work to get the game the way you wanted it. I took the plunge to MLB 2K and all I have to say about it is that is wasn't MVP 05! However, THIS mod came along and was a game changer for me! I am totally hooked again!!! THANK YOU to all of the aswesome moddders that made MVP 12 possible! Cheers!!!
