plez
i was just wondering what everyone thought of these datafiles. i was skeptical at first but i just got done with a very good game, mil 3, pitt 2. perez started for me and threw 90+ pitches in 6+ innings. he walked 2 and struck out 4. i hung a slider to jenkins in the top of the 8th after i tied it at 2 in the bottom of the seventh. anyway, what do you guys think of the datafiles? i am going to try a few more games but so far, so good plez
Kelvarr
I like them....especially batting camera 5. Only thing I don't like is the frequency (read: on line shots) that the infielders barehand the ball. I don't know where to change it, and it isn't a game-killer for me, so it is not a big deal.
capa
I have found that version 0.5 is the most realistic in my opinion. The animations were not changed too much (no barehanding) and he toned down the offense considerably. Use this version with sliders that are weighed heavily into the negative areas for cpu contact and power (-25 or so...or more) and you should have good games. stecropper
capa, I have hung in with the 0.5 datafile as well. I like the switching of angles for left handed batters and right handed batters camera view from behind the pitcher which I never found in the others later released versions. I also like the fielding angles with the 0.5 version as well. I've tried all of the later versions but kept coming back to 0.5 for realism and appearance. Take Care, Don
Kelvarr
See...I didn't like the fielding angle (zoomed too far out) in 0.5. I like his High Zoom in 2.5. To each their own though...

abhall
K.S.M.'s hard work is appreciated by many and I respect that, but I don't prefer any of his datafiles. Several of the camera angles are interesting & cool, but the gameplay is altered to much IMO. I've seen to many errors and several freakish occurences for my liking. If you use "Compare It" and analyze his datafile vs. the default datafile you'll see hundreds of values that have been changed. Basically, my philosophy is if I don't know what EXACT changes have been done to a datafile I'm not going to use it. Just my opinion. Besides, I'm getting great results with my own datafile, which is basically jim's combo datafile with a few tweaks.
mrtuck73
abhall: Did you post your data file? Some of the advice you have given me in the past has fit my style of play perfectly so I bet your data file would fit as well. Let me know if you plan to post it, or if you can send it to me (use PM). Thanks.
