hey guys. lately, whatever i try doing with mvpedit has not been showing up in my game. i know i am doing it right because i have read all the readme files there are. my version is 2005.4. heres what i am doing, tell me if i am wrong:

open program

import dat files from /database

import files to add players (ex. wang for NY)

add him to the rotation on the yanks

export to /database

wait for it to be done, close program

start game

and nothing has changed. i think it may have something to do with the rosters that i installed cuz first i installed ea's 3rd patch, then kerms roster, and maybe some other roster. other then that, i dont kno whats going on. any suggestions?

thanks!

I know this might be a stupid question but are you playing exhibition games or dynasty games? If you are playing exhibition games & not seeing him in the roster after doing the above steps, I don't know what to say, but if it's a dynasty you are playing, what you are doing will not help. You need to restart the dynasty in order to get the players to show up. Once you start a dynasty, doing things via mvp edit will not show up in your game.

is it overwriting your old files? it will ask if it's ok to overwrite. make sure you double click on database so the folder actually opens, you can't just click on it. i made that mistake once when i was in a hurry.

once you have the roster done the way you want, click on the "Export" button. then the box comes up that shows where you are going to install it. make sure you double click on the "database" folder so that the folder actually opens. once it is open, click on "OK". then the file overwrite box opens up asking if it's ok to overwrite. click "ok". it takes about 5 seconds or so to copy, and when it's done, in the very lower left hand corner of the screen it will say "Save complete." and that's it, when you open the game, that is what roster will be in there.
