Ari
Hey, this forum is made to guide you guys through the computer made rookies (the ones with the 3-d faces) so that you know which ones are to look for and raise em in your dynasty. Mine are: Randy Auscraut - 100 MPH fastball Ace Conolly - The next Carlos Beltran Kendry Morales - Slow starter but grows fast and has excellent hitting Ole Uttelslein - Future Randy Johnson without the velocity Sheldon Regnier - Mickey Mantle-like skills, plays IF and OF
UncleMo
Um, the players are always randomly generated. Just because they were generated for your dynasty with those attributes does not mean that they will ever show up in our dynasty's. Just FYI, not being argumentative. sfgiantsflgators
greg rushton (1B) and wes krukow (RF) in the giants system. after a year of experience, the next year krukow won ROY and WS MVP in my dynasty and the year after that rushton belted 60 HR's and krukow took home season MVP. don't know if they are programmed to develop the same way in every game but these 2 are my "indispensibles" when contract time comes around again. Jitter
I have zack greinke and jon garland on my team both are awesome young pitchers. I absolutely could not hit w/ bj upton, no idea why, same with willy mo pena. Jose Castilllo (2b pirates) has been awesome for me, I moved him to short and put omar infante at 2nd. I would highly reccomend picking infante up. He has decent ratings, but seems to have major power good speed (80+) and decent fielding attributes. He has like 13 homers in about 20 games or so on all-star w/ default sliders.
voodoo_daddy
Baseball Prospectus wrote on Greinke. ...we have seen the future of pitching, and his name is Zack Greinke. There are two sets of opinions on Greinke. There's the camp that thinks that all the talk about his being the most extraordinary young pitcher of his generation is overblown hype. Then there's the camp of people who have seen him pitch.
Gudraves
I agree with "avgres220" bout Krukow, I had him in one of my seasons and started him at DH the first season and he belted 23HR, 17 of which came after the break, then next season hit 44. Ryan Riley is also a good unknown, plays 1B I believe and has done wonders for me but has a stupid batting stance that I changed. I hate crouched batters, they look like they are taking a .... Other good young unknowns in my dynasty C D. Hoard RF K. Smith 1B J. Sanchez CF R. Heredia C E. Khan LF C. Simontacchi SP T. Young RP M. UncleMo
I picked up Grienke myself. Not too wonderful because sometimes the PC waits for his slow slow slow curveball. Sometimes you make the PC look stupid with it, sometimes you wish you had someone else pitching. Where is Brandon League, what team? B. Jays? Just because they were generated for your dynasty with those attributes does not mean that they will ever show up in our dynasty's. Just FYI, not being argumentative. No. They're all made in the game, not created in the dynasty. If you do a draft twice you'll find all of these are in there. BJ Upton - TBDR Felix Hernandez - Seattle Wily Mo Pena - Cinci Zack Greinke - KCR Scott Kazmir - TBDR Baldelli - TBDR Miguel Cabrera - Marlins Abe Alvarez and Hanley Ramirez - BOS As a short list of folks. First of all, NONE of these guys were made by the game. Zack Grienke is NOT a rookie, nor is Pena, Baldelli, or Cabrera. Im talking about guys with the custom made 3-d faces. Look for the guys i showed u before. We all know that the guys you listed are good.

I'm trying to create a list for newbies who may not know them, but instead you have to try to berate me like a little child while also showing your complete inability to tipe ful sentancses. Why does it freaking matter if they're rookies or not, as long as they're young? If you want to randomly pick up some ***** prospects, you can do it in the game and not bother people. This is a list of people you can get really easily in owner mode (even with the Royals or the D-rays) to have a ridiculous team by 2008. But, instead, you just choose to act like a little baby and be a ***** about it. At least next time you try to make a point, try to use full sentences, so people are at least tricked a little longer that you're just some 7th grader. mvpmodder07
Most of the BA top 100 are excellent. The problem I had with Greinke was that when I simmed a game, he got SHELLED. Same thing happens here too (im from KC). Everyone talks about how great Zach is but we havent seen it here yet. Oh well. JJ Hardy, Prince Fielder, Rickie Weeks, Kazmir, Duncan, Chien Ming Wang, and Hanley
UncleMo
ari, i'm a little slow here...those guys you originally listed, are you saying that they came with the game or they show up as generated players when draft time comes, the pc randomly generates those players and that not only that they get generated for every one and that everyone should be able to find them? Is that what you are saying, because if so, this thread will be REALLY good to have a list of guys that show up when draft time comes. The thing is, we would need to see who drafted them so we would know which team to trade our players to so we can get them if we don't get to draft them, rigth? Jitter
I got Prince Fielder on my AAA team he has been pretty good. Not a big average, but lots of homers. Jose Lopez is also a very good SS he might even have more homers than fielder. The only problem w/ Lopez is that is is kinda slow only like high 60's or low 70's speed I forget offhand. Jesse Crain is my AAA closer and he has been awesome. He only allowed 1 run total so far on all star. He has like 80k's 4-0 record and about 25 saves .19 ERA. I do not use the walk fix, but everything is on default sliders. The best thing about Crain is he can easily pitch 3-4 innings. I would move him up to my MLB team, but I dont use my relievers all that often there.

I guess when you think about it, the Angels do have some very good talent with McPherson, DaVanon, and those other guys I can't remember. But, I have not heard of any good prospects in the Dodgers system. Could you possibly list a few?
