It would make for some great movies and screen shots and of course memories. "Remember that time Chipper got busted in the face and he broke his nose" is what we'll be talking about. However, I hit a line drive the other day that clearly hit the pitcher in the face and bounce off to the SS for an out. The pitcher would have surely been killed by such a blow. I was seriously expecting the game to state and "so & so" was KIA. We have an answer to that question, and it would be a slightly rare occurrance where it is not Killball, or goreball, so the realizm would still be intact. We simply need someone to take up the task then. I know it should be easy as FPS games have blood mods created all of the time. Can we get someone to take this task on now? Capa, that is a good idea, but then no one would be interested because players don't bleed from diving and getting blood going through the pants leg. HOWEVER, I just thought of this, what if it happens when you slide that not only does your uni get dirty, but there are scrapes on the elbows (if you do a head first dive). Thus, when that player comes up to bat again you will see it on the player, just like the dirt on his clothes. Again, it does not have to be a lot, just red patchy scrathes on the elbow, fore arm, etc. etc. And now that I think about it Capa, instead of blood on the knee/leg when a player dives, the scrapes on the elbow/arm could occur when a player dives for a ball. I was seriously expecting the game to state and "so & so" was KIA. Remember Billy Wagner, I believe he was hit in the face pretty hard and he didnt die. He probably wasnt feeling very well but he went on to continue playing baseball. So getting hit in the face, while not sure death definatly would end the season of a pitcher.
