HuPeRcHiLd
1. Can I hit a batter without using the "hit batter" button combo (hit someone with a regular pitch)? You could in 2004, can you in 2005? 2. Is there a way to get rid of the bloody EA Trax overlay in the menus? 3. In owner mode, What do the highlighted/coloured expenses mean? Are those things that you should reduce spending on or increase spending on? And no, I do not mean the totals that are highlighted, just the individual expenses/income. 4. In Owner Mode, When you turn "Energy Effect" off, does that mean that you can ignore the low energy levels that your players get? 5. Should my pitch meter be inconsistent? By inconsistent, I mean that it doesn't always fill up all the way. Sometimes my power meter stops half-way even though I'm still holding the button down. Gudraves
1. I believe so but only on a mistake pitch. 2. Turn off all the audio tracks. 3. I have no idea. 4. That sounds like it works but I dont know for sure. 5. If your playing on the XBOX the buttons are pressure sensitive so maybe your letting go just alittle bit and not noticing it. All the help I can give...hope it helps.

Roscosuper
You can defenitly hit the the batter without using the "hit batter button combo"......try doing it when the batter moves in on the plate......also, you may have to experiment with pitchers and pitches.....a 2seamer can get away from you if you "mess it up" properly One more thing......and I'm not really sure about this, but......it seems, that if you throw at the batter this way, he'll get out of the way depending on the pitch count or the situation.....meaning, if he's not looking to swing, he has a better chance of getting out of the way, for instance on 3 and 0.......not sure though, just a theory, wouldn't think EA would get that indepth, but you never know by the way, I play on the PC, and I don't know anything about xbox or ps
HuPeRcHiLd
The hit batter combo is L1+R3 (default) I have yet to hit a batter without using the hit batter combo, and even then the guy dodges most of my attempts to hit him.
txomisc
i have tried to hit batters without the combo and failed but i have also hit batters without the combo on accident...usually a slider that gets away

olyrunner
Try L1 + L3 for the intentional hit the batter....this was the combo for last year's game.
spitoon
I'll tell you what I've done for IBB and BeanBall. On my controller (Logitech Rumblepad), it's L1 and 11 and L1 and 12, and since I kept confusing them and beaning guys instead of walking them, I remapped the IBB to the keyboard as W. Now I have to press L1 and W for an IBB and L1 and 12 (which is the right analog stick) for the BeanBall. Actually, lately I've abandoned the IBB in favour of throwing 4 pitch outs. I'm a bit of a stickler for pitch counts, and an IBB doesn't add any pitches to your pitch count (EA's mistake). Throwing 4 pitch outs achieves the same thing and adds 4 pitches to your pitch count.
