Dkknight
To Daniel Yosua, yo great mod. But I have one complaint. The music seems to be a little too low and doesn't sound natural, like its part of the game. If you could make it do that, this would be kickass mod. I like it now but if you could upgrade that, it would be even better. Just a suggestion. Good job anyhow!

DYosua
UncleMo, he's referring to the mod I made to replace the in-game music with the MLB on Fox theme, found here: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Down...24&lid=1802 Dkknight, I share your frustrations with the volume. When I was making it, I normalized each file so it was loud as it could be without being distorted... I guess when the audio was encoded into the .asf format it was lowered. The best solution I have now is to turn up the Music Volume all the way and turn down everything else to 2 or 3, but hopefully I can find a real solution sometime. --Daniel P.S. It's nice to see so many Triple Play vetrans around here... I was TP98Fan/TP99Fan/TP2KFan... back in the day. I discovered the site yesterday and am glad to see so much going on! Dkknight
Good deal Dan! I hope you can find a fix for that, as it would really enhance that mod quite a bit. I look forward to seeing more work from you in the future! Yeah man I'm an old TP vet. I was just talking about it yesterday with a friend... good times! BigPoppa
Thanks for this mod! It got me thinking though...im not sure how you changed the music, but would it be possible to edit the walk-up music as well? If so that would be a huge breakthrough! bravesj858
oh, for the ditty music, i was suggesting we use the most popular songs of each genre for ball players...for instance, "how we roll" is very popular with the players this year, that should be a hip hop ditty, "crazy train" should be a rock ditty, and etc. how many appox should we have for each ditty? DYosua
Thanks for this mod! It got me thinking though...im not sure how you changed the music, but would it be possible to edit the walk-up music as well? If so that would be a huge breakthrough! I haven't tried it in 2005 yet, but I did fool around with a walk-up or two in 2004, and I was successful (eventually). The problem is finding which ditties go with each category - I think there are 86 or so different walk-ups in all. Unfortunately I cannot hear what I replace - the compression of the original files is different from the standard EA .asf format. It just so happens that the game will read the old format as well; that is what I used. I'll try and type up how I did this and post it in this thread soon, so others can give it a whack. bravesj858
86? that's going to take alot of songs...but some dittys are repeats... first thing i would recommend doing is matching up the ditty file to it's ditty type...like for example (this is a fictonal scenario) if 001 was a hip hop ditty. we can replace 001 with a clip of "move...get out the way" and put that into the game. we don't want to put crazy train, otherwise a hip hop ditty guy would sound werid coming up to crazy train. we would put that in ditty 056, which is a rock ditty. generally, we want a 5 second clip, about half as long as it would be in most stadiums, so some songs may not work like this. this will take some time before it's perfected. Dkknight
I think the batter walkup stuff should be a different mod, seperate from the current one you have going Dan.
Friedman
I extracted the .big file to the bdcst_mix folder, but the music didn't change. What's wrong? EDIT- Never mind. I put it in the wrong folder. Awesome mod!

DYosua
Here is a link that (somewhat) explains how I did things... I am not the most articulate person in the world, so you'll have to forgive the muddy explanations. bravesj858
almost forgot the home run music....i think everyone should search up the home run songs some teams use....i know the rangers play the theme from the natural, the braves play gene mongontery's "gone"...any others? Friedman
I believe the Yanks play the ending to "Won't Get Fooled Again" By The Who. That is also the music they play before the team takes the field.
