bravesj858 Posted May 10, 2005 Share Posted May 10, 2005 this is related to my correct intro music for players thread, but i wanted to keep the two parts of the project seprate to avoid mix ups. the first part is excuslvey to getting the players ditty types correct in the game via mvpedit. this thread is excusivley to recommending what songs should be dittied. hyman and unclemo have found a ditty importer program that may just do the trick and get real songs into the game. the plan is to list songs that mlb players are using as their at bat songs (teams home run songs for the homer dittys) and seeing which are the best ones to ditty. mabye eventually, you can choose which dittys to put in. we have 7 ditty types: hip-hop, country, pop, rock, heavy rock, latin, dance. only two rules, no explict lyrics at least in the portion of the song that is to be used in the ditty, and it has to have been a players at bat song sometime since the start of the 2004 season. to recomend a ditty, use this code:song title, artist: ditty type it belongs to for example dirt off the shoulder, jay-z: hip hop priority will go to songs that are well known or played by mutiple players. here's the list: country:10 gone: mongontery gentry dance:19/20, inculding 3 home run dittys hip hop: 16/15 including 1 home run ditty move:ludarcis dirt off the shoulder, jay-z Lean Back,Terror Squad how we roll, big punisher california love: tupac pop: 10 inculding 3 home run dittys rock: 9 inculding 3 home run dittys hv. rock: 9 Rollin, Limp Bizkit bad to the bone: George Thoroughgood abd the Destroyers the beautiful people: marylin manson Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne Enter Sandman - Metallica Down With the sickness - Godsmack Back in Black - AC/DC Welcome to the Jungle - Guns 'N Roses latin: 13 Gasolina,Daddy Yankee i should add broadcast music to this list, although that will be very diffuclt to find period. do recommend it anyway. hopefully, we will have a ditty package of real songs and no fakes. Also, will this be something like .bat or .exe file where we can click on it and it will install for us or will we have to have something downloaded to unpack the files and repack them ourselves? What direction are you taking this fine project? BTW, I released the actual ASF importer exporter (I uploaded it to the site) so that others can get working on learning how to use this bad boy.
