Will you or anyone else be doing a least aaa and aa rosters for each team? And will all of the portaits and annoutments in game work? And would this project work betterl in Dnsaty mode with no trading at all because that is what all of this rosters on each team are for all time teams --right? and will there be an another update roster of this project?

Please let me when you have the chance?

thank you,

NotreDame1

I didn't create this mod thinking in a dynasty mode, just for exhibition mode, but don't worry, I will put a new release sooner or later.

Try with my 1.3 version, this one is better.

This may be a dumb question, but where do I install this file to.

This mod includes a .mbe file which is used by MVPEdit. Install the file wherever you want (I installed mine to my MVPEdit folder), open it up in MVPEdit and then click the Export button to export the data files. When prompted for an export folder, select your MVP Baseball 2005 data database folder.

To be safe, make sure you back up the files in your data database folder before doing this, in case you want to restore the files laters.

After you export the data files, exit MVPEdit, startup the game and the All-Time teams will be in the game.

The link to www.glass4.com doesn't work. Does anyone have the All-Time rosters for the Brewers posted at any website. If so, please post the link here. Thanks a lot!

Here they are:

The Brewers

MNG: Harvey Kuenn

C : B.J. Surhoff, Dave Nilsson, Charlie Moore

1B: Cecil Cooper, Richie Sexson

2B: Jim Gantner, Don Money

3B: Jeff Cirillo

SS: Robin Yount

LF: Jeromy Burnitz, Greg Vaughn, Geoff Jenkins

CF: Gorman Thomas, Darryl Hamilton

RF: Ben Oglivie, Sixto Lezcano

DH: Paul Molitor

SP: Teddy Higuera

SP: Jim Slaton

SP: Mike Caldwell

SP: Moose Haas

SP: Cal Eldred

RP: Pete Vuckovich

RP: Dan Plesac

RP: Mike Fetters

And http://www.glass4.com/mvpedit/ works fine.

I am thinking about to include Derrick Turnbow if he continues playing so good.

Finally U are back. Here a few idea I have in mind.

1)portrait for all the past player

2)allow duplicate player in one team.

I mean Reggie Jackson can be A's and Yankees

Ok... first of all... there's a big trouble with 1- I cannot create 750 portraits without any help, and if I create the portrait I have to add the correct audio for that player. So I thought about using models.big from Total Classics, but there is a giant problem... all the right uniforms are gone! So I will need help because I cannot do it by myself.

And about allowing duplicate players... I don't like the idea, because there are lots of ballplayers who can deserve it and that won't allow us having another ones (i.e.: If I put McGwire (Cards) in A's and move Foxx to BoSox, we have to eliminate Jason Giabi... By the way ther would be a lot of duplicate ballplayers, A-Rod, Foxx, Ruth, Roberto Alomar, Randy Johnson, Fred McGriff, Wade Boggs, Roger Clemens, Pedro Martínez... I don't like this idea.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will need help for all the portraits and audios!!! (and cyberfaces & team logos)

Hold it right there. You do know that you need permission from the Total Classics team to use their models.big and permission from the uniform creators to use the uniforms. You just can't take them.

When I said "using the models.big" from TC I meant that I was testing if we can do the work together.

When I finish this new project, I will ask you for permission. I am doing this because I like it and I love baseball. I don't even have a paypal account and I don't care about bennefits with my project. Alextony, Stepcropper, Fuzzone and Trues are the one who I've asked months ago.

Is anybody going to help me with this? (Cyberfaces, portraits and audios)

Suggestions about reserve ballplayers (then we can play an entire season with alltimers) ?

Sure, I don't see a problem with that.

In my project there may be some differences with yours though:

- I am putting certain players on more than one team (ie Reggie Jackson & Mark McGwire). I have found that it is easier to do this since I am putting players on the AAA, AA and A teams as well as in the show.

- Uniforms: for my project I've used the set that came with the MVP06 mod. We'll need to get permission from the author of that mod as well as the modders who did the unis before release.

- Cyberfaces: I've got a ton of cyberfaces in this mod that we will need to get permission for before we release. I have been downloading as many cyberfaces as I could for players in this mod for a long time now. Luckily I have been keeping track of who did what so it should be easier to ask their permission.

- Portraits: I have been making portraits for each player as I go along. True it is slow going but in the end I think it is worth it. I have found some excellent resources for getting pictures of players:

The Sports E-Cyclopedia

Baseball Library

If those don't work I simply google the player until I can find a picture that I can use. Sometimes it's even a picture of a baseball card if the quality is good enough.

Teams I have done so far:

Dodgers

Angels

Giants

Yankees

Red Sox

Athletics

Cardinals

Cubs

Team I am working on at the moment:

Astros

Whe I get done with the Astros I intend to go back to some of the teams I had finished before and re-do some of their portraits, especially the alpha layer so that we just get the face this time. I hadn't figured out how to make a proper outline before in Pait Shop Pro, but now that I know how I can go back and do it right.

Files I think we should include:

All-Time.mbe

models.big

portrait.big

uniforms.big

readme.txt

The All-Time.mbe is easier to work with as it allows us (and them) to make changes as we see fit and then export those changes to the database. I've simply made a copy of MVP05 on my hard drive into another folder I call All-Time Teams and I just save all my work there. I also start the game from that folder to check the results.

We can simply provide the models.big, portraits.big and uniforms.big files and people can put them where they need to go as I have no idea how to make an installer. But for this project we might not even need one.

The readme would contain information on how players were selected, who did what artwork and who should get credit for it, etc.

One other thing. You'll also notice that some players will have the "Top Prospects" logo when they are up at bat. I have given this logo to the "Top 100 Players of the 20th Century" as listed by Bill James in his Historical Baseball Abstract published in 1988. I give it to all those players who are on his list for both Career and Peak value.
