Lual
Upcoming Series - 2 Games @ Philiadelphia Game 1: @ Philadelphia Phillies Mets Shut Out! (Above: Beltran Stikes Out Swinging, whilst the Mets bench look on after another loss) 2 Games due up against the Division Leading Phillies, and not a good start for the Mets. The Phillies held the Mets to just 3 hits, and 0 runs, as they comfortably won 5-0, thanks to 3 home runs, juiced by Polcano, Bell and Wells. Not the performance that the Mets needed, their struggling offence, is barely worthy of the name. Benson also failed to reproduce the form he is capable of, giving up 3 home runs, as he lasted just 5 innings. Lual
Game 2: @ Philadelphia Phillies De Ja Vous! (Above: Mike Cameron shows the spirit needed to get the Mets out of their hitting slump & Right: David Wright drops a simple catch, 1 of 3 Mets Errors in the 7th) Errors lose matches period. Thats what happened tonight, as the Mets slumped to a 2-0 series loss against the Phillies, after being shut out for the 2nd night running, 6-0. With Zambrano on the mound, the game stayed tight, after the 2nd inning solo homer by Phillies Infielder Bell. Thats until the 7th inning, when the Mets committed 3 errors, giving up 3 runs and killing off their hopes of a late comeback. The most glaring error came via 3B David Wright, who with 2 outs, dropped a simple drive, allowing a run to score, and the inning to continue. Into the 8th, and Thome rubbed salt into the Mets wounds, by slapping a 2 run shot deep right, wrapping things up 6-0. The Mets now slip to 7-7, 3GB of the Phillies, and with a 2 game stand in Florida up next, the Mets need to find their bats. Lual
Upcoming Series - 2 Games @ Florida Game 1: @ Florida Marlins Mets Lose In Hit Fest! (Above: Cameron robs Delgado of what would of been a 3 run homer, and Right: Mientkiewicz tries to Railroad the catcher in extra innings to give the Mets the lead, Lo Duca managed to hold onto the ball and end the inning) The Mets needed a turnaround in fortunes as they visited the Marlins for 2 games. Unfortunately, a 15 inning game, ended in defeat, even though the Mets racked up 16 hits. Early on, it was Cameron who produced a Web Gem, as he snatched Delgados blast, preventing the Marlins taking a 3-0 lead in the 1st. However, the Marlins managed to take a 1-0 lead as the inning ended, thanks to Pierres baserunning. The lead was short-lived, as the Mets rallied in the 3rd, and took a 2-1 lead on the back of a Cameron Double, which drove in the tying run, followed by Trachsel with a Sac Fly which sent Cameron home. It looked as this would be enough, but Encarnacion blasted a triple to tie the game in the 7th, neither side managed to break the stalemate, meaning extra innings once again. In the 12th, it looked as if the Mets could edge a lead, as Mientkiewicz went for home from 3rd on a blooper to centre, he rammed Marlins Catcher Paul Lo Duca, but he hung on to the ball, turning a double play, and setting the Marlins up for the win. The deciding run came in the 15th, as Pierre singled, followed by Castillo striking out, then Delgado, drilling a huge triple up the centre, sending Pierre home to win the game 3-2, denting the Mets spirit. Lual
Game 2: @ Florida Marlins Whose Your Daddy?! (Above: Beltrans 2 RBI shot in the 6th proved too little, and Right: Castro looks on as the Mets give up 10 runs in 2 innings) Game 2 against the Marlins, and the Mets fall to another 2 game sweep. This time, Pedro comes up short giving up a Grand Slam to Lo Duca in the 6th, giving the Marlins a 5-3 comeback lead. Pedro is now 0-3 on the year, as Hernandez then gave up 7 runs, including another 3 run jack by Lo Duca, as the Marlins raced into a 12-3 lead, blowing the Mets out of town. In the 9th, Cameron hit a Triple to drive home a consolation run, but the Marlins easily held on, to win 12-4 and leave the Mets on a 4 game losing streak. APR
2 Things my friend: 1) What slider do you use? 2) Would it be possible to post a final boxscore kinda thing? It doesn't have to show the entire 9 innings, just Total Runs, Hits, and Errors. Know what I mean? Thanks for the great read!!
Gudraves
If I could make a simple suggestion, could you include a simple boxscore? Other then that its perfect.

Lual
Upcoming Series - 3 Games Home vs Washington Game 1: Home vs Washington Nationals 5 Straight.... (Above: Mientkiewicz drives in the tying run as the Mets looked good through 6, & Right: The Mets bench realise they have slumped to 5 straight defeats) Unfortnately for the Mets, its 5 straight losses, as the Nationals inflicted more woe on the Mets, who have now slumped to 7-10, after a disastorous run. The game stayed tight until the 7th inning, as the teams exchanged runs, tying at 2, going into the fateful inning. Glavine starting to tire, left a high fastball over the plate, and Nats SS Guzman didnt need a second invitation to drill a 3 run homer to left, to put the Nationals in control. Wilkerson then drove in another run later in the inning, as the Mets came out 6-2 down. Solid pitching, and neat fielding kept the Mets at bay for the final innings, as the Nationals took a 6-2 win in the 1st game of the series. The bad news continued for the Mets, as SS Kaz Matsui, who was taken from the game with a knee injury, which was confirmed later in hospital after a scan, to be a Torn ACL, ruling the player out for the season. Mets Notables: Hitting: Floyd - 4/4 Mientkiewicz - 2/4, 1RBI, 1 Double Pitching: Glavine - 7I 9H 6R 6ER 3K 2HR 3.72era (2-2) Box R H E WAS 6 11 0 NYM 2 8 0 Roster News: With Matsui now out for the season, the Mets made a couple of changes to their lineup. 1 - SS Erick Almonte was called up from AAA Norfolk, and will start at SS for the Mets. (His record in Norfolk: Avg .340 & 12 RBIs) 2 - SS Chris Woodward, has been sent down to AAA Norfolk to sit on the bench, as Benji Gil will now play SS for the Tides. 3 - RP Willis Roberts, has been signed to a 1yr $1.2million deal, and has been put in the Mets Bullpen, as a LRP.
