cybernetic
I've decided to finally give up on my Logitech dual action rumblepad after it now seems to need to be recalibrate 3-4 times a game and it takes about 20-30 tries each time to get it right.. and if I don't recalibrate it it makes it impossible to pitch, hit and field properly. So I need some suggestions on which controller to get.. I want to play this game still.
cybernetic
I'm thinking of getting a Saitek this time as Logitech seems to be complete crap
FBlue
I got one of those Logitech dual action pads when they first came out. I liked the feel of them a lot. But returned it because it would lose it's calibration midway between games. It is a shame that pad was so flakey. I wonder if they ever fixed that issues. I now use a Thrustmaster dual analog pad and love it. It works great if you use the thrustmaper software with it. If you don't use the software it doesn't work that well. Druck
Does anyone have a controller.cfg file for an Xbox controller? I just got an Xbox to USB converter but I can't get it the controller configured exactly like it is on Xbox.
cybernetic
whats the difference between the Saitek p880 and p2500
Sidewinder
The 2500 has Vibration feedback. I have both the Saitek 2500 and the Logitech Rumblepad 2. They are both great pads. Depending on what button layout you prefer, those are the two I would stick with. For my purposes on MVP, I prefer the Logitech as the button layout works more natively on it. Sidewinder
Is that the Rumblepad 2? I have had nothing but good luck with mine over many months. Very nice comfortable pad with solid vibration feedback.

KnickFanRA
First, I really like the X-Box controller. Any way I can get it to work on MVP the way it works on MVP for the X-Box? What converter would I need to get and does anyone have a good way to configure it correctly. Second, have we figured out of the Logitech RumblePad 2 has given people problems? Or is it another controller? Thanks guys
spitoon
I had a Logitech Wingman that had that problem, but my new Cordless Logitech Rumblepad 2 has performed flawlessly since I got it in February. I've played about 150 games of MVP 2005 with it and I haven't even had to change the batteries yet :)

The drivers that came with the adapter don't work for a certain EA game. At least it didn't a couple of years ago. They had some other drivers but they are quite complicated to install. If you can find the right place for help, you should be able to play this game with a xbox controller. But I would just get a PC control and save myself the headache. After all they are making much better PC controllers now days. As for problems with the Logitech pads, I had problems with the Logitech Dual Action pad. In fairness to Logitech that model hadn't been out that long and they might have fixed the problems by now.

riceboyler
Saitek P2500 here. Love it. I had a Logitech Wingman with dual sticks and rumble (can't remember the exact name), and it started giving me TONS of trouble after about 3 months. This Saitek I've had for 8 months now, and it even handles my 2 and 4 year olds beating on it.
