patch1 = roster update

patch2 = roster update, stutter "fix" and whatever was in patch 1.

patch3 = roster update. plus whatever was in the other 2 previous "patches"

Damn if I knew that I wouldn't have downloaded all 3 and installed them in order 1-3 a few months ago

Have you checked your ingame framerates go tribe? Also check your display properties to be sure your monitor is showing up correctly. First I would use FRAPS just to be sure that the game is not running above 60 FPS to confirm that your vsync is working. Normally the refresh rates at specific resolutions are dependent on the size of the monitor although im not sure about LCD's. Normally the bigger the monitor the higher the refresh rate. For example if someone has a 22" monitor and plays at 1024x768 w/ highend hardware even w/ vsync on and working the game will be running at prob 100-120 FPS which is too high.

For most 17" CRT monitors the refreshrates are as follows.

640x480 120

800x600 100

1024x768 85

1280x1024 60

I might also add , are you using the no-cd patch? Sometimes this will f**k it up real bad.

I have heard of other users having the same problem. They all had one thing in common, they were all using the ATI card. I'm not putting the ATI card down, just that it seems to be the common denominator. (?) My computer specs are below and I am not having any problems. I was at first with everything going twice the speed until I went into my video properties and turned on the v-sync. I also turned it on in the game.

Oh well, good luck. I hope you get it figured out.

Cheers!!!

The only thing I can think of offhand is maybe checking for a bios and/or chipset driver update for your motherboard. I doubt that will help, but you never know...

actually after some troubleshooting, i think the problem is more sound related than video related. it crashes with the announcer's last syllable constantly repeating. i disabled my onboard nforce2 sound card and was able to get into the third inning before it crashed again. reinstalled new drivers (including remixed ones) and it still crashed in first inning with sound card enabled - might try to throw a pci card in there to test

Did you try disabling sound when you had the new remixed nforce drivers? Another thing you could try is just updating the sound driver (if theres one available). If you dont know what your motherboard is exatly you can go here and get this small program that is very useful. http://www.cpuid.org/cpuz.php Then goto the motherboards manufacturer site and see if there are any updates available for your board such as bios updates and sound drivers (this would not necessarily be the same as updating the chipset as you did). If you cant find any info on your motherboard, goto the mainboard tab of CPUz and post you MB manufacturer and model and all and ill see if I can any more info.

thanks - i'm all over my motherboard info wise - going to try a pci sound card and see if that works - i can still play with patch 1 without much worries but patch 2 & 3 are silky smooth
