mva5580
Got my dynasty going, and I wanted to see if other people have discussed and/or noticed these two things. Before I start, I play on All-Star, with the CPU Hitting contact at 16 & CPU Hitting Power at 8. 1. Pitching is not difficult. I play as the Marlins, which I know have a very good pitching staff, but I RARELY ever give up more than 2 runs a game. And usually less than that. Now I understand that I can just keep upping the sliders, but is this the solution for everyone else as well? And how high should I go on these to have a "realistic" setting? 2. Easy to draw walks with pitchers. It seems like pitchers are quite feared in this game, as I can draw at least 1 walk a game when my pitchers are at the plate. Anyone else notice this? ELDoro
do you use the pitching cursor, strike zone, hot/cold zones?
jhath
i play as the cubs so, when everyone is healthy, my pitching is dominant but i have the same prob... i rarely give up more than two... usually i give up 1 hr a game and tahts all... the amount of runs the other team gets is dependent on how many ppl are on when they hit the homer... but i rarely have innings with double and triples and singles and so on that score runs.... havent noticed anything with pitchers walking all the time tho
mva5580
I have the pitching cursor on fade, no strike zone, hot/cold zone only shows at the beginning of the AB. Think I may have to try turning off the pitching cursor completely.
Roscosuper
mva5580 I play on allstar, with the pitch meter difficulty at -50 (which makes it harder) and pitch accuracy at -50..........I also have the cpu pitch accuracy at -50 and both foul ball frequency at +50 and that is all I have adjusted.....I have had great results with these settings.......also, my fielding is on automatic.......as far as the "walking pitchers" thing....I haven't had that problem on allstar, I noticed a bit on pro but I was using some other sliders.....I don't know if it's the slider settings effecting it, but right now I"m sticking with these, because they've been the best for me so far edit: no strike zone or hot/cold zones and pitch cursor on fade
jhath
actually, the pitch meter difficulty at -50 would make it easier.....
AcousticNut
I too notice that my pitchers walk quite often. I've attributed it though to me being less agressive hitting when my pitcher is at the plate. I'm looking for a walk as opposed to looking for a hit.
spitoon
actually, the pitch meter difficulty at -50 would make it easier..... No, actually pitch meter difficulty at -50 makes the accuracy zone smaller, thus harder to hit. (It's backwards I know...negative means less, so less difficulty should be easier, while + should mean more difficulty...that's EA for you). Another thing you might want to try if you haven't is my pitch meter mod, it works on PC and XBox AFAIK. It greatly reduces the size of the accuracy zone, which can be further decreased by moving the pitch meter difficulty slider down. You will have much less control and mistake pitches will be more frequent.
