Proposal to Modders

I have a suggestion. Through MVP Edit, MVP Studio, and all the other great MVP modding programs out there, why don't we keep updating the game so we don't have to buy the 2K series? This is a far superior game, and I think if we all work together, we can boycott 2K Sports until at least, maybe, they come out with a game with a minor league system comparable to MVP's, a decent uniform selection, a batting interface where you can aim where you want to hit the ball, and other stuff like that.

I've been thinking about posting this for about a month now, and also, after seeing this site, I bought the game for PC.

Great job, guys. Keep it up.

i second that. you can never say never but i'm as sure as one can be that i won't be buying any of the 2K's...i'll just continue playing MVP. it would be nice though to sign in one day next march and see "ultimate rosters 2006", "total MLB uni 2006", and a whole stack of stadium updates. the modders here do some kick *** work and i'd love to play through the 2006 season with the same quality as i've experienced so far in ought 5.

and you can sign me up for any "anti-2K" petitions...

there is no way in hell that 2k will be awesome

they have no sportscenter

or no good presentation so its over for them

only game that has a chance is mlb 2007

Darn doody-head...because 2K has that license they have infinite chances to improve. I don't remember MVP having "sportscenter" or "baseball tonight" in their game...MLB 2K5 isn't really that bad, the only thing that was a true game killer was the animations and the crappy graphics. Among other glitches, but it's not the end of the world. Relax. You'll live longer.

You guys fail to realize that while MVP is doomed, they can still partner up with Microsoft, or whatever damn company I forgot to name. Another possible solution would be for them to release utilities for the PC version of the game. Remember, on the PC version, the game STILL says 2005 on it and not "Baseball" like the console versions, so us PC guys still have a chance :).

You got to learn how to sing first.

All I got to say to that is..

AAAOW!

No PC = No Sale

Plain and simple, if there is no PC game, I won't be buying any games. It's not a matter of boycotting, I just have zero interest in buying a console. The XBOX and PS2 will be obsolete in a few months, and the PS3 and XBOX 360 will be quite expensive for the next couple of years.
