Can someone tell me this then, I go through all the steps importing dat then database, I then open the new downloaded roster and then export it to data database, it asks if I want to overwrite and I say yes, Then it says save complete at the end and I close the program and when I play the baseball nothing changes to the rosters, sorry but very frustrated.

As MarkB stated, you DO have to hit (manage rosters) RESET ROSTERS first, when going back into the game.

Why you're getting Microsoft Word Files is way beyond me. If this doesn't help, try searching the forum for Rosters. I'm sure you'll eventually narrow down your problem.

If your .dat files are showing up as word files you can follow these steps to fix that.

goto my computer, then goto tools at the top and then folder options

goto the file types tab and scroll down till you see DAT

Highlight it then hit delete. This will unregister the .dat extension w/ word

Goto C:documents and settings(yourname)local settingsapplication data and delete the iconcache.db file.

Reboot and you should no longer see the word icon for your roster files.

P.s> The iconcache.db file automatically recreates itself so you will not harm anything.
