Yankee4Life
Babe Ruth was up when I was playing a game with the Legends and the announcer said something like "this guy needs to spend more time in the batting cage" 8O

ReddShadoe
"Aw, Kipe, this guy LOVES to break wood!" WHO EVER says that about a player??? The most annoyoing however, is any of the various "This grounds crew is second to none...check out the checkerboard pattern!" The announcers LOVE the grounds crew's talents, but the Myrtle Beach Pelicans threw a PERFECT GAME against my Wilmington Blue ROcks, and NO MENTION of it was made. 8O I have announcers turned off now. Yankee4Life
If there ever is a next year's game, the first thing they got to do is show these two clowns the door. They are terrible. Either they are working for free for EA or they got something on them to be in this game all the time.

edm
I chuckle every time he says (I forget the first part, and I forget exactly how it goes, but he says it after a check swing called strike) "...and by the looks of it, I don't think he thought he went around either". Y2J420
When they announce in the 8th & 9th innings (and only during these times): "I know it's early, but he's looking strong out there"...
mj
He didn't get enough stick on that one. There's another funny "stick" line too.
SoFlaFish
"BIG BOOOOY" still cracks me up! Another one that cracked me up came from the crowd once while playing against the Braves (I was the Marlins and playing at Pro Player Stadium). When Chipper Jones comes up to the plate, someone in the crowd rips out "Hey, Larry! You suck!"
poisonmaddux
Seems like every time I play at RFK stadium, he mentions how they have the best grounds crew in the mlb....uh not quite
JP_Frost
after 1 pitch: "Even though he's thrown alot of pitches way out of the zone, he's been able to keep their bats fairly quiet" Or "He's got nothing on the ball today" while I have a shutout going into the 6 inning. How many announcers talk about the state of the field in a non-rainy game?
Yankee4Life
"This guy's just an average hitter", a comment made about Ty Cobb when he was getting in the batter's box. 8O :? :?:
rolliefingers08
i hate hearing the guy say rich harden "doesn't have a real live fastball" when he pops one in there at 96 mph.
RiceBoy
He says that in EVERY stadium at the start of EVERY game. How many announcers talk about the state of the field in a non-rainy game? I have yet to hear that comment where it is artificial turf, but it wouldn't suprise me if they did say that in SkyDome or Tropicana. Here are a few... "This guy is all over the place, and the hitters are going to sit there and make him throw a strike"...after my pitcher has thrown only the first pitch of the game. "The pitcher had his back against the wall, he makes great pitches, and gets the strikeout", when my pitcher threw no balls and made 3 straight pitches for strikes. "The batter couldn't catch up to that fastball", when the pitch was a slider.
Zephyr
"That ball was nutted!" Just love that one, from 2004, don't remember hearing it in '05 yet.
SoFlaFish
Chipper's real name is Larry Wayne Jones. I know his real name is Larry. That's what makes the heckler so funny that the "Larry" chants are incorporated into the game. I chant "Laaaaa-rr-yyyyyyyy!" when the Braves are in town too.
