Player Idiosyncracies?

I'm sort of getting back into baseball, so I want to ask you all how realistic MVP 2005 is with player ratings/stances/quirks?

Are there any surprises?

I'm noticing little things like batters not being able to hit certain pitches, some batters reacting differently when I shift them on the plate and pitchers that respond better when I switch their role in the bullpen. Could just be a coincidence, but I wonder if anyone using MVPedit (perhaps) can confirm that there are such tendencies?
