greenawayj
I think the answer to this Q is no, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Is there anyway to change the contract 'type' (Ace, Starter, Indispensible, Everyday, Situational, etc.) using any of the editing tools. I'm using MVPEdit which is great, but it seems that only $$ and years can be edited that way. I understand I can re-negotiate these in the game, but I feel that the red sox have too many Ace's (Bronson Arroyo?) and Indispensible players in the roster set I'm using (UR 2.2 currently). I searched about 10 different combinations of words and couldn't find this topic on the boards.
Izhe
That's a good Q I'd like to know that myself. I'd also like to know if there is anyway to change the mangers names and contract
nittanylionfan3
You can change manager's names in the team part, and the length and amount of the contract can be changed as well. All of this in MVPedit
greenawayj
Thanks DLuxe-- Can you clarify: With your reference to only contract length and amount, are you confirming my initial belief that I CANNOT use MVPEdit (or another editor?) to change the contract TYPE in my rosters? By the way, I live in Boston now, but I grew up in PA in the glory days of PSU football. Hopefully they can make a turnaround this year and JoePa can go out a winner. nittanylionfan3
Yes, and unlikely for the second part.
FBlue
Only part of the type of contract you can control is where you put them in the roster on MVP edit before you put the roster back into the game. If they are in AAA they will have a AAA contract and if they are a backup they will have a backup contract, if they are reliever they will have a reliever contract, ect.. Jitter
I live in Pa now (45 miles SE of pittsburgh), about 3 hours from state college and unfortunately I dont see any turnaround for pennstate possible for this year. I am not sure what the problem is but JoePa is NOT happy when asked questions about retiring and I dont think PSU would dare to fire him. I heard an interesting theory on the radio last year. Bear Bryant is JoePa's idol, and very soon after he retired (i believe it was w/ in a month) he died. The radio host wondered if that was in the back of JoePa's mind. I believe the general opinion around the area is its time for him to step down.
