Big time problem...

Big time problem....At least I think so.

I cannot, no matter what I have tried, get the info. in MVPedit..models.big...and data/datafile to match.

As a result, the game crashes everytime I go into the game's roster/edit section to edit a player....Doesn't matter which player I try to edit, once I hilite the player and hit "edit" the game crashes.

This all came about as a result of trying to add the Dubois cyberface....Prior to adding Dubois' face, I made a backup copy of "models.big" as well as a backup copy of the "datafile" in the data folder.

Dubois face never did get added even though it said it installed and I then went into MVPedit to enter the right face number....exported to the game...reset the roster...but it doesn't matter. If I want to edit the Cub roster outside of dynasty or as a part of dynasty...the game crashes!

Anyway of correcting this problem?....I have re-installed the saved "models.big" file and the "data/datafile"...doesn't make any difference...the game crashes everytime I edit within the game.

Hate to re-install everything, especially since I'm well into my dynasty season..If I can't find a solution here, I'll either have to re-install and start over...or...not do any player editing for the rest of the dynasty season.

Bummer!

If you reinstall you should not lose your dynasty because the game does not uninstall your MVP folder in my documents (which keeps your dynasty/owner mode/config settings).

Do you have Kccitystar's unis? His 2x unis + a cyberface is too big on some systems and it will sometimes crash when trying to edit in-game. It has happened to me before but it is no problem because I rarely edit in-game

Thanks for the input....but after trying everything I could think of (and then some) I decided to just go ahead and re-install from scratch.

Fortunately I made backups of files I know are good so "drag and drop" will save me a lot of time...Plus I re-installed to the same directory so the auxillary programs I have will continue to interact as if nothing happened.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

Now I just have to be sure I don't make the same error (whatever it was) again.
