Multiple Requests

Hi everyone, just found out about this site and have various requests and need someone to point me in the right direction.

Just got my MVP 2005 for the PC and like playing CPU vs. CPU.

Requests-

1) Is there anyway I can delete the two intro scenes to the game. The one that has various athletes (Hillenbrand, Schmidt, etc) and the really obnoxious one (READY??? By the donuts).

2) When the batter comes to the plate, all I want to see is their season stats- AVG HR RBI for the season- Is this possible?

3) How come I can't find Milwaukee County Stadium in the stadiums?

4) To unlock with the cheat for the Stadiums and Jerseys, you create a player- do you have to create this player everytime you get into the game?

5) I have posted question about printing boxscores and rosters- I assume there is no fix for that- you can't print anything out. GRRRR!

6) Can I play with the Milwaukee Brewers with an AL Schedule?

7) When I play CPU vs CPU the view is in from center field looking in at the catcher- I think that is called Pitching View- what does the view mean Pitch 6/Bat 1 mean?? I haven't got that figured out.

1. Check the downloads section for a "No-intro" mod.

2 In visual options set "Batter Display" to ratings

Some more clarifications:

1. What smart said

2. As far as I know, you can set the display to Stats or Ratings or Cycle. Stats shows season stats the first time the batter digs in, and then the game stats for the rest of the game. Ratings shows their ratings every time they step in.

3. It's not in the game. Not sure if someone made a mod for it though, search the downloads.

4. You create Katie Roy, then save your profile. The changes stick, and you can delete the player or load another roster with no problems.

5. There is a .Sav reader in development, that will allow you to print out rosters and stats, among other things. Do a quick forum search for the thread, it should be coming out soon.

6. Yes, but it would require a significant amount of modding to put them in the AL. You could mod the schedule file, but they'd still be in the NL.

7. Pitch 6 is "Reverse" view, Batting 1 is "Hitter's Eye." Since no user is batting, the view will always be "Reverse" if the camera is set to Pitch 6/Bat 1. Just change that in visual options to your liking. There are cameras 1-6, and then 6/1-5.

Thanks for the input, however, for a newbie like me, I cannot understand how to unrar a file from the "2005frontendmovies" file. I did a search on my computer for this file and couldn't find it. I guess I am not familiar enough with this to do the deletion- and I don't want to delete any file by accident. That's too bad, because those annoying intro movies and songs are just that---annoying!!!!!

if you want no intro movies, trues has a great fix to that you can download...i'm not too advanced when it comes to computer stuff but his read-me is pretty straight foward and was easy to follow. check it out here:

("2005frontendmovies" isn't a file...it's a folder in your MVP Baseball 2005 folder. MVP Baseball 2005/data/frontend/movies. "movies" is the folder you put all of trues' files in to overwrite the defaults. just make sure to backup the defaults in case something happens and you need to start over). hope that helps a bit... :mrgreen:

So if I want to change the total classics teams to different divisions how do I do this-in an earlier post you said you can change the schedule file to arrange teams.

You can set the DH to on for both leagues if that is the reason you want to move your team to the AL.

No, I want to play the AL teams with the Milwaukee Brewers using County Stadium, but cannot do that I guess.

As for trues file, his read me is only a couple of lines that I got from a previous download. There are several files in it, but when I go to "Extract" and select the MVP Baseball folder, I get an "access denied" message. In addition, I don't know how to back up the defaults. Like I said, I am a newbie, so I am very unsure of what to do.

Also, there is no movie file with my disc. The contents of my MVP Baseball is:

Chants

Music

stadium

Guessing that he's a true Milwaukee Brewer fan like myself who believes the Brewers belong back in the American League where we came from in our original park that we played in back then. :cry:
