hyman
I just uploaded a file that will replace the 7th inning stretch in game music with Harry Carey singing Take me out to the Ballgame. I recommend that you pause the game during the 7th inning stretch to hear the whole song or else you will only hear a few seconds. Unfortunately, Kuiper and Krukow will talk over the first few seconds of the song. Instructions for Installation: You will need to download the ASF Importer/Exporter at http://mvpmods.com/modules.php?name=Downlo...orter#dldetails Start the Importer/Exporter and click Open File. Browse to your Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005dataaudiocdrally folder and select rallydat.big. You should make a backup of the file first. After opening the file, click on the last item in the list entitled rallydat.big38.asf. Click Import ASF and select the asf file attached to this download. It should say "Successfully Imported" when you are done. To test it out quickly, start the game, go to Game Modes-Scenario Editor and set it to top of the 7th inning, 2 outs. Make the last out and listen to Harry sing.

smitty2279
Yeah, I think it would be great to change in game music especially adding Network (ESPN, Fox, WGN) to the in-game music if at all possible. Plus how cool would it be to hear Hell's bells when Trevor Hoffman enters the game, or Welcome to the Jungle for Gagne, or Enter Sandman for Rivera. In case this is ever possible here's a list: Closer's Songs Eric Gagne - "Welcome to the Jungle" - Guns N' Roses Billy Wagner - "Enter Sandman" - Metallica Mariano Rivera - "Enter Sandman" - Metallica Trevor Hoffman - "Hell's Bells" - AC/DC Rob Nen - "Smoke on the Water" - Deep Purple, (he also used Led Zepplin's "Kashmir" after "Smoke on the Water" was deemed offensive in light of 9/11) John Smoltz - "Thunderstruck" - AC/DC Mitch Williams - "Wild Thing" - The Troggs (not sure if thats who sings it) Jose Mesa - "Summer of '69" - Brian Adams Octavio Dotel - "Hit the Road Jack" - Ray Charles Kazuhiro Sasaki - "Nightmare" - Brainbug (its a crazy Japanese techno song) Bob Wickman - "Mortal Kombat Theme" (this is not totally confirmed) Todd Jones - "Blind" - Korn Troy Percival - "Keep Away" - Godsmack also "Smoke on the Water" - Deep Purple Aki Otsuka - "Wherever I May Roam" - Metallica (not a closer yet) Keith Foulke - "Mother" - Danzig Danny Kolb - "I Stand Alone" - Godsmack Armando Benitez - "Big Pimpin'" - Jay-Z and "Big Poppa" - Notorious BIG (he used these in FLA, unknown what he used before that) Braden Looper - "Hell's Bells" - AC/DC Danny Graves - "Show Me How to Live" - Audioslave Matt Mantai - "Realign" - Godsmack
hyman
smitty2279, I don't think the game plays any audio when any relief pitcher enters the game, so, while your idea is great, it's not possible. However, you can change the broadcast music that plays at the start of the game and between innings. Check out the download section for a file by DYosua that will replace the default music with Fox music. Also check out the utility by iansimcox that will allow you to replace the broadcast music with your own files. Iansimcox is also working on a program to change the batter walk-up music, so look for that soon. Hollywood and others, I found out about the asf Importer/Exporter program and also how to listen to EA's asf files in this thread: http://www.doubleminor.net/forums/showthre...ght=ditties.viv To listen to the asfs, you will need to install the Creation Centre for FIFA05 to get the the command line program that he refers to. If you read his post, you'll understand why I'm respecting his wishes and not saying any more than this. For more information of what sounds are in the audio files, look in the audio subfolders and you will find text files that will give you some indication of what the audio files in the cd subfolders represent. Deathnotronic
I can't figure it out either. I can't even view the thread that Hyman told you to go to. It says that I don't have permission, even though I activated my account and everything, and when I start the Creation Centre up, it asks me if I want to Save before I exit, and if I click No, the program closes, but if I click Yes, I get an error. Trues
Yes The command line or batch file to convert asf to wav would be: sx -wave filename.asf -.wav Ahhh yes!, that works great. I'm thinking about working on some new organ sounds. Thanks
UncleMo
trues, maybe a good idea, but it may b funny if you do some phantom of theopera. funny but creepy. ok i'll shut up now.
UncleMo
What to download and how to work it. I have only donwloaded it JUST NOW and have not tested it. Could be the same exact thing as Hyman's. "Well for MUS->WAV there is a program that can do it.... it's an internal EA utility called "Sound Exchange" or "sx.exe"... and heres how you would go Follow this step by step and you should be able to make a 100% digital copy of the sound track. Redistribution of the converted files would be highly illegal as you probabbly already know -- so don't do it. 1. Download Creation Centre 2005 for FIFA 2005: http://downloads.soccergaming.com/d...php?id=00009666 2. Install it. Hopefully it will install without FIFA 2005. If it won't install without the .NET Framework, you will have to download that from windows update. You don't need to run Creation Centre.. you just need to get it installed. 3. Go to it's installation folder (default: C:Program FilesCreationCentre 2005), you will find a program called sx.exe. 4. Copy the sx.exe and the MUS from the VIV file into a new folder. 5. Use one of those MUS->ASF utilities to split up the MUS file into multiple ASF files. I think you could convert the complete MUS file but it will eat up a lot of memory. 6. Open up a command prompt window. Start -> Run. Type in cmd.exe (2k/XP), or command.com (9x). OK 7. Go into the newly created folder, i.e. C: cd "C:new folder name" 8. Run sx using the following syntax (replace filename.asf with whatever the name of the file is): sx -wave -remixstereo -rs48000 -.wav filename.asf 9. Once you get all your wavs (each will be around 30-50mbs). You would want to convert them to MP3s or OGGs to save space. 10. Keep all the MP3s to yourself, and don't publish them anywhere. And thank [john doe] @ [john doe inc.] for his wonderful program ." Name of programmer and work place edited out by me. Don't ask who it was because I plan on not remembering.
