cyberface problems

First of all, i know that there are a ton of cyberface threads in this forum, but I searched almost all of them and didn't really see an answer to my problem or a topic really related to my problem. So any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've downloaded several of terminator korea's and jogar84's cyberfaces and cyberface packs (and they all look great!). Only problem is that after I download, unpack/extract, assign to a player in MVPedit, and all that stuff, the players faces are really disfigured and deformed in the game. Like the ones I downloaded are missing half of a face and like it's backwards or something. They're just really disfigured.

If anyone else has had that problem and knows how or what thread I can get that fixed at, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again (and sorry about another cyberface thread) - bjbourg1

In MVPedit after assigning a face to a player w/out one (ex: Willy Taveras), under the appearance tab in MVPedit, it shows only half of his face. Whereas players who already had a face in the game (ex: Jeff Bagwell) have there whole face shown in the appearance tab. Or another example would be this: Roy Oswalt came w/ a face in the game...it was fine the first time I played it; then when I downloaded and assigned him the new cyberface for him, it's disfigured. I don't know if that is a problem or if that is the way everyone else's are.

And sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but how exactly do I get a screenshot from the create/edit player screen in MVP 2005?

Thanks RAM (and JoltinJoeCarter!). You both have been a ton of help. I think that importing and then compressing w/ bigGUI might do the trick. I'll see if it works and post the results.

My Johnny Damon cyberface is all messed up. I present to you exhibits A, B, and C.

As you can see the long hair is gone, and the face does not look like him. My cyberface ID is the correct one in MVPEDIT, number 65. What can I do to fix this? What program could I have possibly messed up to get to this? I am totally lost, thanks in advance.

I've tried compressing the files of the cyberfaces that I've downloaded in bigGUI, but I keep getting an error message that says "bigGUI has encountered a problem and needs to close." I'm only compressing them 1 file at a time. Are you only allowed so many files in the models.big file?

Also, I keep getting an error while trying to use mvpedit. The error is a gfxpak error. It keeps the mvpedit program running, however I can't see any of the photos or faces in mvpedit anymore.

Any ideas or opinions from anyone who has similar/related problems or who knows how to solve this would be greatly appreciated.-bjbourg1

Your problem with mvpedit is related to the size of your models.big and portrait.big.

since mvpedit uses gfxpak it can only handle files that contain less than 3.000 entries. anything above that will cause an error.

There is indeed nothing you can do about the MVP Edit error, but as far as in-game, you can have alot more than 3,000 files & the game will work. I have almost 3200 files & my game works. You need to import the cyberfaces via the eage program. (don't use biggui to import the files or it will corrupt your models.big file) Then go with BigGui & compress the cyberfaces but do not rebuild. The game should then be able to display the cyberfaces just fine.

One note, the Wang cyberface uploaded by Yuze is corrupt. So don't use that cyberface or your game will crash if you use him in the game.

The problem with disfigured faces is that you probably did not select "yes" under appearance tab where asks if want '04 face. If cyberface is only a half face (usually the case with jogar's cybers), you have to make sure you check yes to '04 face. If full face, then check no. Hope this helps.
