moto
This is the first time I have posted on ANY forum but i am really stumped here. Here goes, just bought Radeon 9800 Pro and new Sansung LCD. Before this I was running a crappy vid card and everything was working fine. I have patch #2 with the no-cd crack and have all the latest catalyst drivers for my vid card and all updates for monitor. Problem is that every other time i play a game in dynasty mode my game will just lock up. I have read EA Support and other posts and changed VSync to counter "super speed". Any help would b appreciated.

moto
oh on a sidenote, u modders r all great and really appreciate all the hard work u put in to this game to make it the best baseball game of all time. I was also reading one of five's posts and he mentioned that there was a CAS mod in the works where dimensions of the field could possibly b changed. If anyone has any further info on this in would b much appreciated. Thanks guys in advance

Trues
I have the same card and the same problem. I think it's a heat issue with the card itself. I took the case off my tower and placed a little desk fan blowing on the card and have had no crashes since. Maybe this will work for you.

Jitter
goto www.drivercleaner.net and dl the program, then run it for whatever brand you had before the ATI. Dunno if thats the prob or not but it cant hurt anything. 9800's do run pretty hot, I have a 9700 pro and the 9800 is basically the same card w/ higher clock speeds, and mine runs fairly hot. Although when vid cards overheat you normally see artifacts on the screen (lines/blotches of colors/messed up textures). Maybe your powersupply isnt giving the card enough juice. have you tried it out w/ any other games?
yankeesexpos
Hey Guys, I also have the ATi Radeon 9800 pro and My game would crash to desktop all the time, with an error message....Basically it was an overheating issue....I had to go out and buy a new case with a side fan and stuff....since then no problems

Jitter
You can buy a cooler for your video card for around $30. The only problem is you have to carefully remove your stock heatsink and fan which will void your cards warranty. If it is indeed a heat problem I would check out the Zalman VF700 coolers or an artic cooling VGA silencer. The only problem is that they take up the PCI slot directly below them because of the size so you need an open space below your vid card. In my PC i have the side of my case open w/ about a 10" house fan hanging off it. My stock fan died on my video card so I bought a Zalman heatpipe cooler. The cooler I have is 2 BIG aluminum plates on either side of the card w/ a copper pipe that connects them and transfers heat. With the big housefan I have blowing on it, the video card stays very cool now. I would not recomend the heatpipe for your card though, it was kinda a pain to install and it is fanless plus the VF700 is better overall. I only got the heatpipe because thats all the PC store i went to had in stock and i needed something quick. http://www.zalmanusa.com/usa/product/view....p;pr_name=vf700

Emil
Any of you with the Radeon 9800 pro have the stuttering problem? I got it  , and I don't know how do get rid of it :x
Jitter
The hardest part of installing those is removing the stock heatsink. First you have to remove 2 pushpins that stick out the bottom of the card. The PC store recomended just cliping the ends off and pulling them out. I tried to take mine out carefully but ended up messing one up anyways. Once you get those out if your lucky the heatsink will pop right off. If your unlucky like me it will have a thermal pad that sticks it to the VPU core. Mine was extemely stuck on there and I was afraid of breaking something. However I found a good trick on the net they said to use dental floss (i used fishing line) and I stuck it under the heatsink and kinda sawed w/ it till i finally broke the seal on the thermal pad. Once you get that off the instructions from zalman are pretty simple to put their cooler on.
