FBlue
Ok when I first started to play this game I used assisted fielding. The problem for me was that manual fielding just switched to fast to the player on hits to the outfield and I couldn't see where the ball was going and where I was fast enough. So basically I would be way out of position. Another camera might have helped but I liked the one I had. Poking around the datafile I found how to increase the time you had before you had to take over fielding. You don't have to increase it much just a half second or more. What you need to change depends on what level you play at. Here is the lines to look for. 0x9bf1169f 73<skillbase> 0xb889238 39<mvp> 0x326126d8 39<allstar> 0xb889e76 39<pro> 0x19e26f8e 39<rookie> The number that needs to be changed is #11 in whatever level you want to change, but I think the skillbase one needs to be set to the highest number or the others won't work. I picked 1.5000 for skillbase and I am using 1.2500 for my allstar setting. I find I have to play balls in both the infield and outfield and miss my fair share of balls. Overall that is a increase of .7500 for that level. You can put whatever number you like I guess. I think the numbers are in seconds and I tried 8.0000 and it took forever to let me control the guy. So for all those guys out there using assisted fielding try this out, it is a lot more fun than sitting there and letting the computer make perfect play after perfect play. FBlue
where exactly do you find these numbers You find them in your datafile.txt file. You need to extract the datafile.txt file from the datafile.big file. The file is located where your game is located in the MVP Baseball 2005datadatafile folder. First things first before you change anything either copy the original file to another location, zip it up or put it in a rar. You need to do this incase you don't like your changes or if the file messes up your game and you have to redo it. Now that you know where the file is you will have to extract the datafile.txt file out. For this you will need to download the BigGUI program. http://www.mvpmods.com/modules.php?name=Do...amp;lid=1100#dl Once the program is installed all you should have to do is double click the datafile.big file and BigGUI will open it. Then you need to scroll down till you find the datafile.txt line and highlight it. Near the top of BigGUI there is some buttons. Look for the one that says decompress and hit it. Then hit the button that says export. Then export it to a folder of your choosing. Now go to that text file and open it. When it is open do a search for the line your looking for. Lets say you play pro so you will need to find these lines. 0x9bf1169f 73<skillbase> 0xb889e76 39<pro> Have a look in those lines. 11 in the skill base line is 1.0000 and 11 in the pro line is 0.5000. What this means I think is that the highest you can go with the pro line is 1.0000. So if you want to go to a higher number you need to put the skill base number higher. I use 1.2500 on allstar so I need to have at least 1.2500 as the skillbase number. So go ahead and change the number to what you want now and hit the save button to save the file. Go back to BigGUI and hit the import button and select your new datafile.txt file to import. Now you need to scroll down and make sure the new datafile.txt file is highlighted and hit the compress button. Now exit out of the program and enjoy!
