JoltinJoeCarter
you're using a download version of the game? or a NO-CD patch
big shmooz
You need to have the original roster in the database folder & you need to have the original mvp2005.exe file in your main MVP folder.

JoltinJoeCarter
yea, if you're using another mvp.exe, put the original back in, and you have to put the rosters that came with the game. did you install any rosters?

big shmooz
I already said, it's in the main MVP 2005 folder. If you did not move it or overwrite it, then this is not the problem. It seems you didn't, since you don't know it's location. You must then have installed a roster from somebody, in which case, you need to put back in the original roster files to get the patch to work. I believe you can get them off the original CD, but I know that that was a problem to get the game to recgnize it last year after I did that. This year I made sure before putting in any rosters, to back up my original files, so this has not been an issue for me. If you didn't do this, try to get it off the CD & see if you can get the game to recognize that it is indeed your originial roster. Then update the patch & save the roster files before you put in another downloaded roster. (in case EA changes their mind & does put out another patch even though they have said that they won't)
NYYankees133B
I Reinstalled it and now it works it lets me download patches 1 and 2 with no problem, but after I installed patch number 3 just out of curiosity I tried to install patches 1 and 2 again and that message came up so I think its because I already installed it thats the reason its comin up this time. Can someone try and intall patches 1 and 2 again and tell me if that message comes up. Thanks for all your help.
