bigwill33
How do you cut the songs down to about 8 seconds? I don't know how or what to use that. Thanks.

JoltinJoeCarter
in the other music mods, the songs u import are kinda "low volume", it's not as loud as the rest of the game. is it the same case with wumchan? great mod btw, but i still have to try it out. iansimcox
I use a program called MP3GAIN to get my tracks at the same volume before converting them into ASF. If you get it, anything around 97dB seems to be the best volume for the game.
UncleMo
Wum Chan, isn't that the guy up the street at the Chinese Takeout? Nevermind. :D
ataris812
Alrighty, I'm having problems already. I edited a song to around 8 seconds, but when I try to import it, it says it's too long. I saved it as a .wav. Should I save it as an mp3, or does it not matter and I should try something else? I'm scratching to get this thing working. iansimcox
You need to save as an MP3 then use the ditty importer to convert to ASF. The ASF file is the one you import. I've found high quality MP3s are too large. Best thing is to save them as 48kbps mono files and they seem to fit easily, without sounding too bad. hyman
Best thing is to save them as 48kbps mono files and they seem to fit easily, without sounding too bad I prefer to convert the sample rate to 22050hz and leave it in stereo. I can get between 8-9 seconds including a fade out at the end.
iansimcox
:D I never realised ditty importer converts from WAV files. How silly do I feel?
UncleMo
special note-if you are using a datafile that removes the walk up batter music, then that is why you can not hear any music at all. just telling everyone in case they think the WUMCHAN does not work.=Mo=
