MLB on FOX In Game Music Question

I've seen several topics on this subject after searching, but haven't really found the answer to my question/problem. Hopefully, someone will have run into this, or has an answer for me.

I downloaded the MLB on FOX in-game music by dayasou. The readme file that comes with the download says to extract the included file to the C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005dataaudiocdbdcst_mx directory. I did so and didn't notice any differences in the in-game audio between innings etc.

It was sort of curious though because the readme file says to extract the bdstdat.big file to the aforementioned directory, but the zip file actually contains a file named bdcstdat.big instead. Is this a misname on the file that should actually go in the MVP install folder? When I extracted the included file (bdcstdat.big), there was no overwrite warning so I am guessing that file in the zip file may be misnamed? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

don't use that one. the volume is not loud enough. Download any mlb song you want to use, then download the music changer by iansimcox, can't think of the name right now, but it allows you to change the intro and in between innings music. the music will be loud enough

Hello,

The file name is correct - what type of install did you select when you got the game? I think you need the "maximum" option to have the file on your hard drive - otherwise, it will read it off the CD. Since you didn't get a overwrite warning, I'm guessing that is probably what happened.

UncleMo - just because it is soft doesn't mean it is useless! You can change the volume of the music in the game to be louder than everything else, and it sounds just fine.

and how do you up the in game music to be louder?

"UncleMo - just because it is soft doesn't mean it is useless! You can change the volume of the music in the game to be louder than everything else, and it sounds just fine."- Or, turn announcers and crow levels down, and then play your game but turn your speakers louder. good easy fix.

DYosua, that was no dis on you, it is just that yours came out and was an early solution. Now we can make our own is all I meant to say.

I am pretty sure that I did a maximum install, but maybe I didn't. In any event, if I include the file in the directory, should it read that one first or is it still going to go out to the CD? I don't seem to get any different music/audio when playing the game. I'd like to get this working, but have been unsuccessful so far. If anyone has seen the same situation I am describing and has a solution, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave
