jewgrass
The No-PIP is worth it's weight in gold for me! How did you do it and what did you change? Thanks a million! ez I like it, but it is kinda big. Any way to make it half the size?
CaptainSpooge
Careful with this one RRodkey, these values simply help the announcers call the hits correctly, thus the <audioAI> tag. For example, a ball that is on the ground, rolling at a certain speed will be called a "Roller", a ball high in the air but not moving very far will be called a "Pop Up". If you alter these numbers, you might end up having the announcers mistakenly refer to line drives as groundballs etc... Well, I play with the announcers turned off so that wouldn't make a difference to me. I'm pretty sure there's others who do this as well.
CaptainSpooge
Quick question, is the datafile #6 that kumala recently posted the same datafile as the one Rod's been talking about in this thread? I think it is but I want to make sure. Thanks.
mtomato
I've looked into it. In line 0x46c93f61 54<audioai>, there are values 0 to 53. And the line above the 'audioai', there are 54 descriptions 0 to 53 which matches the <audioai> values. Spitoon said the values might be related with the game's commentary, but I think RRodkey was right. Now I'm gonna change some values and see how it works. Check it out for yourself. Thanks for the great info RRodkey. These are the descriptions for the <audioai> values. Year after year, that's one of the first mods I grab. Thanks for all of your contributions to the baseball sim community. :D

Last year, I ignored this section for a long time because I thought it was for the announcer routines. But is actually is for defining the parameters of hit balls. It is a great section for changing how the ball reacts off the bat with respect to grounders, dribblers, flies, line drives, etc. I wish I knew what all the commands do. You could spend days experimenting in this section.

Year after year, that's one of the first mods I grab. Thanks for all of your contributions to the baseball sim community. No problem RRodkey. I'd have to say the same thank-you back to you for your work on the datafile...if it wasn't for that I don't think I would have ever gone into it. If you like the bat mods, be sure to check out the latest one. I just uploaded it last night (not posted as of yet), and it's 'bigger and badder' than ever. capa
Rod, Great great work!! Question - is there anywhere in the datafile that controls intentional bases on balls? I saw 5 in my last game. I know it can be changed in manager tendencies, and I have them at 0 there... C
Furcal01
What program do you use to edit the datafiles?, I want to put the PIP window back in
spitoon
What program do you use to edit the datafiles?, I want to put the PIP window back in You need to decompress it, and then open it with a text editor like WordPad or TextPad. Notepad works, but it's really slow because the file is huge. After you make your changes you need to recompress it. Use This Utility to accomplish those things. The Show
I'd download the datafile but I really like the PIP; if somebody would upload one with it or just sent it to me(pavel_theshow@hotmail.com) I'd be very grateful. Oh and KSM's Behind The Pitcher Cam 2.5 ESPN High. That would be perfect. Maybe adding spitoon's pitch meter too,.
Furcal01
Which string would I edit to bring the runner pip window back?, and I also don't want the walk fix either
kumala
it should have spitoons pitch meter. I have ksm's batting cams and reinstalled the runner pip. My sliders seem to work well with rods datafile.. on pro level.
ezdriver
Getting rid of the runner PIP really opens up a lot of real estate on-screen and, for me, makes the game more enjoyable. I played a few innings with it and can definitely see changes in the way fielders react and move. I think I can say I like the changes, but it's also something that's going to take awhile to get used to. Thanks RRodkey! ez
