Dodgerone
Is there a way to change the season schedule? I would like to make a NBA type schedule for a dynasty season. Can someone give me the steps to do that?
Gudraves
If you figure it out then let us all know cuz as far as I know nobody has figured that one out yet.
DarkEnigma510
You can change the schedule but if you shorten the season, a problem crops up if there are one-game playoffs. The game basically doesn't let you move on. I think you can alter the schedule and keep it 162 games without any problems (although you might have to keep the days consistent from year to year). Dodgerone
Thanks, but I guess my question is, how do you change it back to the .big format? so that it will register in the game?
extravaboy
I want to edit the schedule for next year (2006) so it is the same as the real 2006 schedule will be. Is that possible?
erichardman
I know it's possible because somewhere there is a patch to make the Nats-play the Jays- instead of the Orioles like they do in MVP

Dodgerone
I got it!!! And it works!. Download BigGui. Copy schedule.big then slide it into BigGui.exe icon. A spread sheet form appears with the big file extracted. Export the mlb162 file. It will appear whrer you exported it as a text file. Make your schedule modifications then save then import back into BigGui say yes to overwrite the file the press the rebuild button compress button. Put the schedule.big back in the database. The Big Unit
Curious, can you shorten the season at all? Say to like 54 games or 81?

bsailus
This is a bit late of a response, you can shorten the season, but there seems to always be a blasted 1 game playoffs for the minor leagues and it won't allow you to go beyond (as stated earlier). I tried 3 times, basically shortening the minor league schedule to around 1 month and it still pushes their playoffs to whatever date you choose as your end of season for the MLB. bpstein
This is absolutely brilliant! I have one question--what are the comma marks (groups of 3 and 4 commas) that appear in the second half of the dat files? If I want to shorten the season, do I also remove the right number of these commas? Thanks! Ben
