Starting a new Jays dynasty tonight

Hey cybernetic, Im starting from scratch, just created myself as a prodigy 2nd baseman with vizquel type skills. I dont think its a bad idea to put yourself in IMO  I created myself using the data files and renaming a minor leaguer to my name in all the files so it shows up in the game nicely. Since coco cant make my face, tim hudsons face is the closest to mine in the game, so I use it with pujols stance. It actually looks like me. Now to get back to starting a dynasty. Was going to be the reds, but choosing something else. Not sure which yet, but we can keep in touch with updates if you want. Sounds like you have your hands full with those jays

well from the way it seems my pitching is up-to-par right now and my hitting is close so I should be turning the season around if I bring in another power bat and/or a speedy high contact guy.. another SP wouldn't hurt either although Gaudin did very well in his 1st start with the Jays.. I may be looking for a corner OF bat as well perhaps Podsednik is an option

I've swung a deal to get LF Scott Podsednik from the White Sox.. in exchange they got OF Reed Johnson who was struggling and LF/1B John-Ford Griffin who has good AAA numbers but has no MLB experience at age 29.. he is also a terrible fielder so it was not much of a loss to get a good lead off hitter

By the way I just had a 2-1 loss to the A's in the final of a 4 game set to get a split.. Zito picked up the win, Gaudin the loss.. the offense struggled to get hits off Zito.. about 7 singles and 1 HR (Koskie).. Podsednik got to 3rd once after a bunt single in the 8th but failed to score

Took the first two games in a 3-game set vs. the Cubs in inter-league play 2-0 and 4-2.. I've moved out of the AL East basement and am currently in 4th but only 1 GB of 3rd (Yankees).. going for the sweep of the Cubs soon

Just lost the final game of the 3-game set vs. the Cubs 1-0.. Kerry Wood pitched a 4 hit shutout with Hawkins coming in with the tying run on 1st in the 9th to record the final 2 outs.

Halladay pitched a CG 5 hitter but allowed a solo HR to Aramis Ramirez for the loss.

The team now moves to a 29-31 record.

with the terrible hitting results from the RodData datafile and feedback from others about the datafile.. I've decided that I'm going to switch datafiles.. the search begins in the downloads section for a new one

I haven't gotten a chance to play any games in the past a couple days as I've been busy with work.. I've got the day off today and will be playing a few games today

Now with the team playing .500 ball and only 6 1/2 back of the division leading Boston.. I will be looking to make some deals to improve the club before the all-star break

if you find out a free way, let me know, id love to do it too (but dont wanna spend money for it)

anyway, ive been trying to download certain datafiles and ive decided to use jim's, and it says to rename the file after i extract it and then drop it in the data folder. but when i played the game, nothing had changed, the walk fix wasn't working (the pitching was the same) and the foul ball replays still appeared. i tried them in exhibition mode. do i need to do something else? i mean i renamed the file "datafile.txt" and then put it in the mvpbaseball2005/data folder

right?

I don't see it.. can u give me a direct link to the free dynasty page..

Anyway I won a game with Chacin on the hill last night.. who struggled allowing 2 ER in 5 innings of work and throwing a lot of pitches.. he struggled with commanda nd walked 4 only striking out 2 but Walker did welli n relief and kept the game close in 2 innings of work. The Jays pulled it to a 6-2 lead in the 7th before Speier came in and allowed an earned run to make it 6-3.. Schoenweis came in the 8th and had a 1-2-3 and the team pulled the lead to 7-3 in the top the 9th so it was a non-save situation for Batista so he was not brought in.. Scho' stayed in and picked up the save, eventually allowing the 4th Houston run to score as we completed a 3 game sweep of them in Houston

Next is back to Toronto to face the 2004 NL champion St. Louis Cardinals
