Whenever i play the game, i can get to the gaem fine but when i start, teh gaem goes extremely slow. I think it is the video or graphics cards (if they are the saem thing let me know please). If it is the card, please let me know of a card that would work with the game that isnt too expensive.

I am not too familiar w/ the prices of the older nvidia cards but I just looked on www.tigerdirect.com and you can get an nvidia 6600 for $150 thats a pretty good deal i think, and if you can afford $10 more you can get the 6600GT which is a bit better. If you want to go a bit cheaper you could get a fx5500 or the 6200 on page 6. As for ATI im a little more familiar w/ their products, if you goto that site i posted on page 6 there is a 9600XT for about $110 I would recomend that one even though its only 128MB instead of 256. For your PC here is how I would rank them.

6600GT (256MB) for $160

9600XT (256MB) for $160

9600XT (128MB) for $110

XFX Geforce 6200 (256MB) $100

EDIT: I just saw there was a 9800pro on there for about $140 thats a pretty good deal as well.

I hope that helps, any of those in the price range would be decent cards for this game and your PC. Your processor is probably around a 1.5 - 1.8 so I wouldnt recomend putting a much higher card than listed here anyways because your processor and RAM would bottleneck its performance.

Newegg.com is selling the card you want for $96.00 plus 3.99 shipping. (the AGP slot card) You need to make sure also what kind of motherboard you have & what type of BUS it uses. Otherwise you may buy a fantastic card only to find out, it won't fit in your motherboard.

You mentioned you have a TNT 2 card. If memory serves me correctly, that is a PCI slot card. (though I may be mistaken) Be careful to make sure your motherboard supports an AGP slot before buying an AGP card.

Anyway, if it is compatible with your motherboard, here is the link to the site... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814150094

All those cards that jitter suggested will be good, just make sure you confirm that your motherboard has an AGP slot. Many prebuilt machines (Dell, Gateway, EMachines etc.) don't automatically include them.

If you can do a search (google) for your specific model of gateway you'll be able to confirm it.

I just worked on my mom's friends gateway the other day, it is a 1.6 P4 and it had a TNT2 AGP card in it as well. However you def need to confirm that your TNT is an AGP card or everyones card suggestions will be useless to you. If you cant find out for yourself look on your case for your gateway model number, and someone here will help you out.

it will work, but I wouldnt recomend it. A 9200 is old and prob not worth whatever your going to spend on it, unless someone is giving it to you. You would be better off spending around $100 for the other cards mentioned in this thread.

As Jitter says, it'll work, but don't spend too much on it--it all depends on what you want to pay. I wouldn't pay more than $50 TOPS for that card. Check out Newegg.com. In another 'video card' thread I linked a Newegg deal for a 9250 for $42.50 shipped. But beware, it's older technology and won't last much if you plan on playing other games in the future. It'll be fine for MVP and Madden but it'll be a joke trying to run a game like Half-life 2 or Doom 3 (sorta like the future in video graphic intensiveness) on it.

I was about in the same boat as you and I don't play any graphics intensive games (mostly Madden and MVP) and I didn't want to spend much. I ended up spending a bit more about ~$70 shipped on eBay for a new Radeon 9500 Pro which blows a 9250 away.
