Just a quick question(I may sound dumb here). Does total Classic 1 and 2 have different teams? And is there a place I can find the list of the teams?

Here's a spreadsheet of all the teams through phase 2 I made. I'll release a phase 3 version when phase 3 is complete.

I would love 61 Yankees with Roger Maris and the 95 Refuse to Lose Mariners with Griffey, Edgar Martinez, Randy Johnson, Jay Buhner, and a young Alex Rodriguez.

EDIT: woops I see 61 Yanks on phase 2

please fix the 96 yanks

why dont they have bernie, jeter,or o-neal?

Are you sure you have the proper files? Bernie, Jeter and O'Neill are definitely on the '96 Yankees! I know because I created the .met file for the team in MVP2004 Total Classics and Fuzz just imported the file over for Total Classics MVP2005.

I also just opened up the rosters in MVPEdit and verified tha all 3 players on the team. Here's the list of players on the '96 Yankees:

Wade Boggs

David Cone

Mariano Duncan

Andy Fox

Joe Girardi

Dwight Gooden

Derek Jeter

Jimmy Key

Jim Leyritz

Tino Martinez

Ramiro Mendoza

Jeff Nelson

Paul O'Neill

Andy Pettitte

Tim Raines

Mariano Rivera

Kenny Rogers

Reuben Sierra

Darryl Strawberry

John Wetteland

Bernie Williams

there can 'always' be why not this team or replace that team...

the goal was to get some more 1970 & later clubs for phase 3 AND give

as much variety to the 120 team total as possible. (resources permitting of course)

this has been alot of work for alot of people :eew:

though it is not 'perfect' it is coming out quite well & all is pretty much done:

pics, logos, uni's, audios, .met files, etc. etc are now being put together

then some testing

so we are at the 5-7 day point roughly. a wee bit more patience and

it will be good to go :wtg:

I don't understand the reasoning behind 1993 braves rather than 1995, 1996, or 1991. I just don't get it.

Please help me understand what is idea here. Have a good morning. Mo.

It's probably because someone submitted a roster for the '93 Braves rather than the '91, '95, or '96 Braves. If someone had submitted a roster for one of the teams you listed instead, it would have been included.

yes, it could have been one of the other years

(there is always another or different year when talking about

'which' teams to include)

Atlanta Braves:

yr / wins

'91 / 94

'93 / 104!

'95 / 90

'96 / 96

....................

the '93 team had one of the great starting staffs in recent baseball history

(Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz & Avery. all with 220+ ip and at least 15 wins each!

no Maddux for '91 team)

the '93 roster does have C.Jones & R.Klesko on the roster also. So, it is very

'close' to the '95 & '96 roster

of course there is always another or different year when talking about

'which' team(s) to include

I have one. Why the 1999 Cleveland Indians, and not the 1995 drought ending Indians?

A friend of mine, the guy that modded my XBox was interested in these mods. When he asked me if the 95 Indians were on there, I had to tell him no. He lost interest at that point.

It very well could have been either team.

In 1995, Cleveland led the AL in both batting and pitching. They finished with 30 game lead over 2nd place KC and did make it to the World Series.

In 1999, Cleveland again led the AL in batting (scoring 1009 runs!) and they finished 21.5 games ahead of 2nd place Chicago.

The core of the team (Thome, Vizquel, Lofton, Ramirez) was together for both teams.

Ultimately for Total Classics Phase 3, it probably came down to someone submitting a roster for the '99 Indians to the Total Classics team. If a '95 Indians roster had been submitted instead, that team would have been in Phase 3.

HOW MUCH LONGER????????????

Jesus, relax. No wonder so many people get burned out on modding with people screaming at them all the time.

It's only a freaking game.

Hopefully soon. The final rosters, portraits, uniforms, logos and audio files have been sent to Fuzz for him to combine into the Total Classics Phase 3 package.
