iansimcox
:D I railroaded the catcher yesterday. Happened completely unexpectedly, I wanted to dive toward home and instead this happened. I'm not complaining. It got in my 5th run in a 9-0 win. Video here
Yankee4Life
Hey, I like that. Now how did you do it? Nice video by the way.
iansimcox
I just flicked up on the right analog stick to try to slide in and must have got the timing just right for smashing into the catcher. Not too sure when the timing is though as I was making sure my other runners were safe and not really watching my runner from 3rd.
peterbernard
I was playing a Cubs dynasty last week with the Cubbies in their sky blue teddy bear pajamas, when Phil Rizzuto suddenly took out the catcher to no avail in this one play. Here's a video of it: http://www.peterbernard.com/rizzutorailroad.wmv
iansimcox
I just noticed something. The umpire isn't looking at the play. No wonder it was definately safe :D

peterbernard
yeah the umpire faces the back during railroading plays, and then the catcher holds up the ball toward centerfield to show he's held onto it -- both are bizarre choices on EA's part, but the play doesn't come up that often. APR
I just noticed something. The umpire isn't looking at the play. No wonder it was definately safe Maybe someone told him that there was a player injecting himself behind the plate.

The umpire is against violence so he doesn't like seeing those plays.

Deathnotronic
IT WAS A FAKE! Iansimcox player paid off the catcher! I have proof! Start the video @ 11 seconds and watch it from there. The catcher falls because he's going for the tag, not because he got hit! I smell a conspiracy! LoL...Sorry Ian, didn't mean to call you out, just thought it was funny.
