The Reds backups played well, as Kotchman, Aurilia, Jimenez, Willingham and Logan all started, as the Reds are keeping all their options open. 2 more left at the GABP this year, Reds fans will miss baseball, and wil hope for an exciting off-season with the Reds proving their commitment to becoming a winning club. RaptorQuiz
Above: Pena (38) and Griffey (36) both show their power, by hitting 400yard bombs! I've been noticing this for quite a while. I absolutely love your dynasty, and I realize you're not super familiar with U.S. units of measure. So those are 400 * foot * homeruns. There are 3 feet in a yard. So if they were 400 yard homeruns, they'd be travelling 1200 feet each. Not likely. Anyway - I am always amused by this little quirk when I read your dynasty - and I figured I'd mention it. Later. Lual
Game 2: Philadelphia Phillies (82-72) @ Cincinnati Reds (65-88) Phillies Beat Willies' Team! Above: LaRue takes a hit for the team, Right: Griffey and Mo wish they where heading for the playoffs! The Phillies outside playoff hopes where kept alive after this 6-1 beating of the Reds. The visitors had total control all game, putting runs on the board at a fair pace, and outhitting their hosts 14-6, as Wolf put on a stern showing to shutdown any offence the Reds tried to generate. Thome and Burrell where the Phillie heroes, both cranking 2 run jacks, as the Phillies shot out to a 6 zip lead. Casey did bloop in a RBI in the 9th, but there was no hope of a comeback. 1 more left at the GABP for the Reds, a chance to salvage some pride with a series win. Reds Talk: Miley: "1 more left at home, lets hope we can send the fans away with something to remember us by" Harang: "Always tough to pitch against Bobby, Jim and Co." Lual
Game 3: Philadelphia Phillies (83-72) @ Cincinnati Reds (65-89) Extra Inning Agony! Above: Willingham keeps his reputation of a baserunning hunter, Right: 39 Big Willy's this year, no wonder the woman love Reds baseball! Baseball in 2005 is finished at the GABP, as the Reds lose a tough one, in 10 innings. The Phillies snatched a 5-4 win, off the back of the Reds leaving the bases loaded in both the 8th and 9th innings, causing the fans frustration to boil over. The 10th inning saw Brazoban give up the crucial runs, as Thome slammed a 3 run shot deep to left. Finally the Reds put some more runs on the board in the 10th, but only 2 came home, leaving them just short. Goodbye GABP, we will return.................as the Big Red you once loved! Reds Talk: Miley: "What a way to finish up at home. Its a game we lost, its criminal to leave the bases juiced in 2 straight innings" Brazoban: "I choked on a key pitch, and Thome put me away" Reds Notables: Hitting: Freel - 2/5 Pena - 2/5, 1HR, 3RBI Wild Pitch - 1RBI Pitching: Robertson - 6I 5H 2R 2ER 0BB 0K 1HR 3.79ERA Dominguez - 2I 2H 0R 0ER 0BB 1K 0HR 3.89ERA Brazoban - 2I 4H 3R 3ER 0BB 0K 1HR 4.12RA L(5-4) Box: R H E PHI 5 11 0 CIN 4 6

Lual
Upcoming Series - 4 Games @ Milwaukee Brewers Game 1: Cincinnati Reds (65-90) @ Milwaukee Brewers (80-75) Battered! Above: Milton gets hit, and hit, and hit, can you see a theme here? Right: Encarnacion steps up with some sound plays at 3rd! With 7 games left, we finally see the lowest point the Reds can go, as they leave the park with a humiliating 16-1 loss, being outhit by the Brewers 21-6. Milton looked like a high school chump, going 4 innings, giving up 18 hits and 14 runs, as 4 jacks went soaring into the Miller Park stands. This included Spivey's Grand Slam, and 2 dingers by Cliff Lee. The Reds did manage to get a run on the board, as Freel drove in Encarnacion as the Reds tried to turn a miracle comeback in the 8th inning....it didnt last. Ben Sheets kept his CY Young dreams alive, collecting his 17th win of the year in a confident complete game showing. 3 more in Milwaukee, thank god the beer flows in this town, or the Reds may have to face the reality of losing whilst sober! Reds Talk: Milton: "The less said the better. I will have 1 more game to put this right" Miley: "I cant really describe what happened to us today. Im hoping we dont fall away and hit a big losing streak" Reds Notables: Hitting: Freel - 1/3, 1RBI Encarnacion - 2/4 Pitching: Milton - 4I 18H 14R 13ER 1BB 0K 4HR 5.71ERA L(15-13) Majewski - 2I 3H 2R 2ER 0BB 2K 2HR 7.71ERA Evert - 2I 0H 0R 0ER 0BB 1K 0HR 6.75ERA Box: R H E CIN 1 6 1 MIL 16 21

Lual
Game 2: Cincinnati Reds (65-91) @ Milwaukee Brewers (81-75) Pena's Game! Above: Dunn strikes out looking, before (Right) Pena jacks his 40th of the year! Todays game was Willys game, as he dinged his 40th homer, and drove in his 100th RBI as the Reds took some revenge for yesterdays humiliation. Pena's shot came in the 8th, as the game was tied 1-1. His 3 run jack sparked another 2 runs from the Reds, as they sealed a 6-1 win late in the game. Mercker picked up the win, but Claussen went a good 6IP, giving up just the 1 run, as he held the Brewers offence in check. This is a marker year for Pena, who will hope to carry this form into 2006, and take the Reds to the success, they desperately crave. Reds Talk: O'Brien (GM): "People questioned our call to make Willy our everyday RF. But he has proven his ability, and the loss of Kearns is pretty insignificant to us" Pena: "Thats 2 targets hit this year, ive enjoyed playing everyday for this team" Reds Notables: Hitting: Lopez - 3/5, 2RBI, 2 Double Pena - 1/4, 1HR, 3RBI Encarnacion - 2/4 Willingham - 2/4, 1 Double Freel - 1RBI Pitching: Claussen - 6I 6H 1R 1ER 0BB 0K 1HR 3.79ERA Mercker - 1I 2H 0R 0ER 0BB 0K 0HR 4.88ERA W(4-7) Yan - 1I 0H 0R 0ER 0BB 1K 0HR 3.55ERA Urbina - 1I 0H 0R 0ER 0BB 1K 0HR 2.43ERA Box: R H E CIN 6 13 0 MIL 1 8
mooseknucks
The losing makes it so real. And the wins do seem more enjoyable to read about after losing so much. Top notch, wether you're losing or not, I read, every game.
Lual
Game 3: Cincinnati Reds (66-91) @ Milwaukee Brewers (81-76) Brewers Edge It! Above: Aurilia drives in 2, and Casey snares the ball at a stretch to get the out! The Brewers miniscule NL Central Pennant hopes stayed alive, as this win moved them 3GB of the stuttering Cubs. Cincinnati blew 2 leads, 2-0 and 3-2, before again leaving the bases loaded in the 9th, as the Brewers held on to wrap up a 5-3 win. Harang went 5IP retiring 15 straight, before a rocky 6th, saw him give up 8 hits and 5 runs, including a Spivey and Lee homerun double. The Reds huffed and puffed to pull things back, but failed to take advantage at the right times, and now trail 2-1 in the series, with 1 game left. After this series, the Reds will travel to the Cardinals for their final series, and a farewell to a disappointing 2005. Reds Talk: Aurilia: "My future is still up in the air. Ive had no firm offer from the Reds, so my career may take a new path this off-season" Harang: "Im scheduled 1 more start, i want to end the season on a personal high" Reds Notables: Hitting: Aurilia - 3/5, 2RBI, 1 Double Casey - 2/4 Harang - 2/3 Pitching: Harang - 6I 8H 5R 5ER 0BB 1K 2HR 3.65ERA L(8-7) Blackley - 2I 0H 0R 0ER 0BB 1K 0HR 5.49ERA Box: R H E CIN 3 13 0 MIL 5 8

mooseknucks
Hey cubsfan, you're the one with the red face here. And don't crucify him for not following because he just joined. And also, nice try on the hidden "douchebag". You might've gotten away if he didn't have to quote you. Anyways, keep this crap out of Lu's dynasty here. If there's a problem, my reccomendation is to take it to PM.
