Open Letter to all Cyber face modders.

Hello. I'm weary and spent. It is 1:30AM so I'll be brief I hope. This is my last plea. I'm begging you. I want to take cyberfaces, either ones you've made or ones EA has already made for the game, and put them in the create a player portion so that when we turn on the game there will be 15 cyberfaces already right there to pick from. I know it won't allow us to add/change hair but my real reason behind this is so that when draft time comes we will all have 15 cyberfaces, looking realistic, generated for all rookies. To try this out this is what I did:

Downloaded a random cyberface Delmon Young. Renamed the .ord, orl, and fsh files to g001, g001.ord, and g001.orl. This is for the create a player face number 1. I did everything right. I used BIGGUI to import, compress, rebuild, bada boom bada bang. I went to the rookie.big file and pulled out the ethnic folder to change this Create a Players ethnicity to read "African America" and changed the skin tone to 9 to match the skin tone of the face. I used BIGGUI to do all of that. I did everything right this time too. I then go to open my game, go to edit/create player, and when I go to choose the face Delmon Young's face did not show up. You know what showed up? My desktop. It crashed to the desktop. I am telling you all of my results, findings, etc right now because I'm become extremely exhausted. Please help. Please I beg you. The only things I can think of are that maybe just maybe something was wrong with the Delmon Young face I used. Maybe I should have put Delmon to replace an african american create a player and not the white dude (never mess with the man is what i figured). Please help.

Think of the upsides. 15 awesome faces generated for all rookies. No more crappy faces. And we can release several of these in Packs. You know. For one year have 15 faces. Next draft time install a pack and have 15 different ones so that not everyone looks the same. I leave you with this and I will stop asking questions, help, hints, everything. The only good thing is that this project of mine has forced me to learn about MVP Edit, .Big files, Rookie.big file, how to install cyberfaces (it's not hard, no it really isn't), and that many fine people are willing to help me out along the way. I'm at the end of my rope on this one now. No one to help me out unless you can get me over this LAST hurdle. Please jump in this with me. Not for me, but this entire community. And if not, I won't bother to bring this up again. I'll just go huddle in the corner and cry like a girl-oh, I'm doing that now :p . It is now 1:45AM. I need to finally eat adn get some sleep. God bless and have a great day. Mo.

Yes maybe some generic faces would be good, just choose some random face off the internet and use it

Could you do me!??!?!

please place other requests in a cyber face request thread. this is for taking cyberfaces and putting them into the Create A Player options so that you can automatically choose them and when draft time comes you will see rookies created based off of those 15 faces. Sorry Emil.=Mo=

I have also been trying to do something with the cyberface models for the "rookies" as you were stating. I got as far as to NOT make the game crash but the cyberface looked extremely distorted. I tried this a while ago so im not sure exactly what i did but it involved the numerical fsh files as well (the ones in the beginning before the a files). If I remember correctly, and I could b dead wrong (remember again that i tried this a while ago and am a newb, NOT a modder by any means) but the 0 - 8 refer to hair color and the xbeard_f.fsh obviously refer to the facial hair. When i tried to install the cyberface i replaced all the cornr.fsh files with the d/l cyberface fsh file (0 - 8) along with the g files. I believe I used number g001.xxx like you but am not sure. And I dont know why there are 45 when there are only 15 faces. I gave up after about 6 hrs because i really dont know exactly what i am doing. I just used trial and error. Try messin w the numerical files along with the g files and see what happens. Hopefully someone w greater programming skills will be able to figure this one out. Anyway, hope this helps.

Another thought. If you look at one of EA's created player's cyberface (for example Barry Zito) in your dynasty by going into edit appearance you will notice that all settings for face etc. are all set at 1. Maybe using g001 causes a conflict within the game for some reason.

badabing, badaboom!

how do you like me with cornrows and a goatee 8)

used EAGraph to export g007.fsh, nfshtool to edit in my cyberface, and EAGraph to import it back in.

I went to the rookie.big file and pulled out the ethnic folder to change this Create a Players ethnicity to read "African America" and changed the skin tone to 9 to match the skin tone of the face.

not sure what you trying to do with the rookie.big file. where would it read African American in the game?

moto thanks for your help. I have no clue why you got a tiny bit further than me but I congratulate you.

emeyekayiee 8O :o 8O  8O :D:) 8O I'm speechless.

I need to learn EAGraph. Can you please give a break down of what you mean about what you did and how you did it. I'd like to learn asap!!!!

Since I made Delmon Young to be the number 1 face I had to go inside of the rookie.big file, export the ethnicity file andchange his skin tone to match his face so that when the face number 1 would be randomly generated he'd be generated to have delmon youngs face adn proper skin color.

Dude, I didn't believe that this modd was going to let us add hair. Now you've REALLY went further than I imagined. I thought the PC was not going to let us add facial hair or change the hair since we're dealing with cyberfaces that are custom made. Please, telll me everything I need to know.

Thank you guys thank you THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

Hook me up with instructions please

"nfshtool to edit in my cyberface" you mean you did not get to add hair in the game but you had to manually add it using nfshtool (is nfshtool the same as eagraph?).

ok, i think i see what you are saying, instead of replacing the file by over writing it you somehow imported your face into the 7, which is the mexican or asian general face. right?

I dunno Mo. I tried using EA Graph. I tried using BIGgui. I tried using a batch file. Nothing has worked. All have crashed.

I have never been able to get EA Graph to import or export anything, this is why I have not been able to release my new "hot chick" audience mods. OH WELL.

That sounds interesting!

the suspense is killing me i have got to hear how emeyekiee did this. :D

he told you how he did it and I followed his instructions and replaced an editable face, just drew a comedy beard on the bmp to test!

yeah but how did he put his cyberface in in pace of this one. that is what i don't get. i see where he says he was able to export the picture, edit it, and then he said he edited his cyberface, but he did not say if he saved his cyberface, compressed this or that, and then put what back into the models.big file.

i want to know the exact details because if he simply renamed his cyberface file to overwrite the editable face g007 then how come i could not take a cyber face (Delmon Young) and simly change the name from what it was to g001 and put it in the models.big file. that is why i am so particular, i want to take a cyberface and replace it with the above type of faces. i don't want to edit the generic kinds. maybe i'd understand better if i knew EAgraph. I'm only good at biggui and so so with mvp edit. i am clueless about eagraph.

Okay. But can you d/l an existing face and import using EA Graph? Almost all Readmes say not to use this program. I think that is what both Mo and I are trying to do.
