re: crap-o

there are bugs within the game. i found this out the hard way when i crashed over ten times. at first i thought one of the files was corrupted but it happened with all of them. when you have many slots filled in numerical order (i have ten), there is a good chance you will have a dup. if not, great, but if you do i would advise not to change it. you will most likely crash. trust me, i have tested this for over 3 hrs. if you do wish to change the dup, which i do because i am very stubborn, you have to reinstall all files to ensure a crash wont happen. even then its not fully crash proof because the ord and orl files may have gotten corrupted, in which case you would have to determine which slot is the bad one and which isnt. most likely it is the first slot with the dup. im not saying this will always happen but there is a good chance it will. if a new version comes out please do not touch the files. pm me if you have questions/problems. peace

i am posting a second time because there IS A BUG and I want to express this fact because i just crashed AGAIN when i noticed a dup. u will either have a dup (it may not be exactly the same face or in sequential order but will have generally the same facial features) or you will have a face that is a general when it is supposed to be a cyberface. ALWAYS. take a look with FSHed if you dont believe me. the image that is supposed to be there wont. if there is anyway around this please let me know. im going to begin testing again. i might try using the orl and ord for the dup since that seems to be the problem. - scratch that, when u use the cyberfaces' ord and orl, the u files become corrupt and you have to replace your whole models file. lucky me. answer = every time you want to change your cyberfaces you need to overwrite the modded models.big file with the original. then re-import all of your faces. may be a pain in the ***, but it works. no dups, generals or crashes. im happy. oh and those 30 extra gxxx.fsh files werent put there for us. i quote from the ea readme:

17. Modifying game files

If you choose to modify or change settings in MVP Baseball 2005, we strongly suggest that you use the tools provided in the game to modify/create/edit players, change game options, configure your controllers, etc.

but if you could figure out what the extra gxxx.fsh files are for that would be awesome.
