The Big O Posted June 6, 2005 Share Posted June 6, 2005 This is a beta of the dusk version of my Fenway Park mod. It's still a work in progress (grass needs to be fixed, crowd in Sox colors etc.) but it is about 95% complete. Many thanks to Ezorn for inspiring me and mastasports for all of his input. I hope you guys enjoy and please keep your comments in this thread. mastasports1 Posted June 6, 2005 Share Posted June 6, 2005 So, I wanted to look and see how a day sky and a day lighting value would fair on your Fenway, and despite the fact the textures are colored for dusk, it looks pretty nice - maybe a little texture color screwing in photoshop can get this rockin'! But I will say- EA's Fenway grass, the one in this picture, is a prime contributor to the dusk look. The day grass at Fenway is Kentucky Bluegrass, so it looks a lot different than it should. Actually, I was just going to say that Eric Bedard's windup leaves his oft-thrown curveball, a red ball in Hitter's Eye, right in the red circle of the Stop and Shop logo :x But Big Papi can jack one! Byrnes hit the ball deep to left, the camera panned up and out, revealing most of the left and center part of this stadium, and my jaw dropped. Unbelievable work. What needs to be done to get that day sky in my game? not much. you just need the sky0.fsh file from whatever stadium mastasports stole the day sky from, and to fix the lighting file in the stadium folder. i suggest making a backup of the lighting file before messing with it. i would change the 02_dusk for fenway to 02_day and that should give the unis a day feel. ask mastasports what stadium he stole the day sky from. just get biggui, open the ____day.big fiile, export the sky0.fsh file from whatever stadium he got it from, open the fenwday.big file and import the sky0 file from the desktop. Yep a night version will be released along with the completed dusk version as the 1.0 final. I hope to have it done by the end of June. Also the night version will have the animated Citgo sign. ReddShadoe Posted June 6, 2005 Share Posted June 6, 2005 Wow, I managed my AAA game so I could skip to playing this mod...incredible, no disappearing textures anywhere...and I was lucky enough to have Big Papi put the game into extra innings with his second homer of the game; I got to play 15 innings (Mirabelli hit a walkoff 2-run homer to win it). The centerfield tarp, the retired numbers, the ads, everything looks phenomenal. Personally I'd prefer Hood ads behind home plate instead of Bank of America, just because BoA is already represented, but it doesn't take away from the realism at all since BoA does have homeplate ads at Fenway. Oh, and if I were you, BigO, I'd update the standings on the Monster...you know, Orioles on top, just in case we forget who modded our stadium!
