biker_jim_uk
Wowsers! 8O Fantastic, guess the 5% is the working scoreboard? I can't see much else wrong with it
Filthy57
Wow. I just went to Fenway for the first time yesterday, and looking at the pics that I took, and comparing them to these screenies...wow. Amazing work.
mastasports1
I stole the day sky from Jacobs field. I'll keep screwing around with the lighting.csv file and see what I can turn up. Also, I will see what I can do with Big O's textures, as far as color. We need to contact Five for he can get the new 2005 grass pattern and color, which, like I said, is much different than that of EA's.
mastasports1
Millah making the diving catch in front of the Bud sign! How appropriate! Unlike Jeter, Millar doesn't use intangibles to will the ball into his glove! Over on the other side of the diamond, the other "Miller" makes a nice leaping grab! (We must be the only team in history to have a Mueller, Millar, and Miller)

Mastasports1 and any one else who wants to change this mod, I thank you all for your input but when I created this thing I said that due to all of the lighting effects, shadows, colors that it would remain a dusk version. I feel to change it by adding a day sky would be decreasing the realism. This is my interpretation of Fenway complete with all my graphical editing and textures (except for Ezorn's coke bottles). If you guys want a day sky and want to change the colors for yourselves then go ahead, but as for uploading it for others I ask that you respect my work and go ahead and create your own mod instead. mastasports1
From looking around in the game, it seems the wall lighting, the Dunkin Donuts sign effect, will effect the textures, regardless of their color. Therefore, since I don't have the knowledge with that particular feature in Oedit, I won't be able to help Big O out with a true day version. And to Big O- I don't know how to extend my utmost gratitude towards you. Only truly brilliant people have the sense of community to put so much time and effort into what you did, and that is increased 10-fold due to your current state, post-marriage. It is just amazing the work you did, and I am just speechless as to how I can thank you for your time. I'll be bringing my fancy new digital camera down to Baltimore July 10th for the Red Sox game, so I'll have to start there, as you'll be receiving some nice high resolution photos of the ads! aknbean
Oh! Oh!! My poor little heart almost didn't make it through a centerfield panaromic of the field! It's breathtaking Big O, utterly breathtaking. In fact, I just got out of this little hitting slump I was having. This park is just...there are no words. None. Except Jesus! Big O, Wow! The quote said it all. Even a flag over the 406 Club. Will the scoreboard work in the final release? I think they worked in the others... I can live without it. I want to play in Fenway every game. Not sure I want to go on my next road trip. But it's off to Baltimore, so I a least get to play in your other fantastic modded park. Just one other notice. The dirt around home plate seemed red speckled. Or is it just me? Thanks. I'll be getting a paypal off to you soon.
OCMr_B
I downloaded this last night, and there seems to be (up to) three things missing; The ride on the MBTA Green Line to Kenmore Square, and the short walk to the park.... Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy calling the game... A Foxwoods Resort commercial between every inning... Other than this, it's PERFECT!.  You've done Red Sox Nation proud with your efforts on this. Thank you!!!! I'm looking forward to the release of the "night" version, and the working Citgo sign. Cheers!
createbaseball
great work man... one thing came to me while I was playing, and though its probably more realistic the way you have it, I am wondering if it would be good to move the Citgo sign up so you can see it a bit more from the field. Especially with the night version, it would be a shame not to see all the work you did on animating the sign. just a thought.

mastasports1
Big O lowered the Citgo sign to be more realistic way back in April, but you can still see most of it from the field.
OCMr_B
Big O lowered the Citgo sign to be more realistic way back in April, but you can still see most of it from the field. Precisely. A lot of people mistakenly believe the Citgo sign to be directly behind the left field wall. In reality, it's not. It's about a full city block away, on a rooftop in Kenmore Square. He's got it just about perfectly placed, as you might see it if standing at home plate @ Fenway. If you had a camera mod that would mimic the position of the NESN booth above the 406 Club (or probably in the 406 Club...don't know, never been in there myself), you'd be able to see all of the sign easily. Lowering it might "hide" some of the terrific work he put into it, but it keeps it accurate, in terms of real life visibility. EDIT....ARGH. Just went to Mapquest, and got a nice image of the local area and marked where the sign is in relation to Fenway Park, but ya can't attach pics here... Oh well.... OCMr_B
LOL...right down to the "Foley Electric" sign ON the sign... 8O Sweeet. Kinda silly question(s).... You say this is a "beta" of the "dusk" stadium file. Is there any chance the working Citgo sign might find it's way into the "final" dusk version? It won't be as visible as the nighttime file will be, but that sign cycles thru it's lighting during the day too. It would make the dusk version that touch more accurate. I'm guessing you'll be putting the working scoreboard in too...are you going to leave the "AL East Standings" as they presently are, or update them? With your O's still solidly in first, I'm surprised you left it with Toronto in 1st, as they were in mid April. Any chance you could change the opponent on the main scoreboard from "TB" to "NYY"? I've a feeling if any Sox fans play exhibition games, chances are higher it'd be vs NY, not Tampa Bay. Thanks again for all the hard work on this..

If he switched them around in photoshop, the quality of the scoreboard would be diminished.

If he switched them around in photoshop, the quality of the scoreboard would be diminished. I didn't realize that's how he'd built that. Now I understand why it reads what it does. If it were easier, I'd love to see those minor changes, but...if it's gonna be that much of a hassle, nah. What's done looks great as it is.
