UncleMo
I followed the modder's instructions in the readme file but my game crashes when I install a cyber face. What did I do wrong? Here is what the readme file said: "1. Extract all files in this .rar file into a your DEFAULT MVP BASEBALL 2005 DIRECTORY (eg. C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005) 2. Open install.bat and wait for it to load 3. You open MVPedit and find BJ.Upton player Modify a face part to 390. 4. Guess what? You're DONE!" 1. I did that. 2. Did that 3. Did that 4. :? Was I supposed to reimport my .dat files, save them as a new .mbe file and THEN edit the face numbers? Because I simply opened up mvp edit and changed the faces and then exported my files to the database folder. Thank you for your help. Mo
MaddiesDaddy
you need to click export in MVPedit to export the updated roster files to your database folder. if you don't do this all you do was update your MVPedit *.mbe file. you must export your mbe file to the *.dat files in order for any changes to be made to the rosters used by the game. UncleMo
did that. "I simply opened up mvp edit and changed the faces and then exported my files to the database folder. Thank you for your help." Can anyone assist? I see posts all of the time for help and I could swear that others get helped. If I was supposed to enter a zero in the photo/audio id field then I will go home and do that. I think I left it blank. I wonder if I was supposed to enter a zero, or if a zero was already there.
biker_jim_uk
you do get helped all the time, just that for some reason when you follow the help it doesn't work! Then you respond like the above to an answer that seemed to be confirming your original post, like you asked people to do? Did you open the models.big and look if your new cyberface had imported? Is it a 2004 face? What point does the game crash? etc If you want answers it helps to include as much info as possible as we are not mind readers.
UncleMo
jim hey. i only dl the 2005 faces. i tried dallas mcpherson's and the other guys that he comes with. i entered the correct #'s for their faces in mvp edit. you asked if i checked to make sure they DID import to the models file like they were supposed to. I ran the installer that the cyberfaces came with but did not double check to make sure they installed like they were supposed to. i can double check on that. "If you want answers it helps to include as much info as possible as we are not mind readers." um, yeah, but i'm so dumb i did not think about making sure to see if they even imported to the models.big file like they were supposed 2.
UncleMo
problem resolved. I simply went back to my backup copy of my .dat files so oh well, i could not get a couple of cyberfaces to work. i'll try again soon.
