changing bat speed in datafile.

There is one definite way to do it. You can slow down the swing animation speeds. Example:

0x85ae9373 10<batting.StrikeSwing.NormalSwing.Power.Left.sb_3rd_out_sw_a.AnimInfo>;0 0;1 0;2 30.000;

To slow down the swing, change value of item # 2 from 30.000 to 25.000.

There are numerous swing animations. You would most likely need to adjust all of them.

Here's another:

0x85ae9373 10<batting.StrikeSwing.NormalSwing.Power.Left.sb_3rd_out_sw_a.AnimInfo>;0 0;1 0;2 30.000;

Rod:

If i were to increase the value from 30 to say 35.00, would this increase the bat speed? I would like to increase the bat speed so I can get around on pitches faster.

Thanks for your reply

I would say yes. The value controls the "data rate speed" that governs the animation. The faster the data rate (higher number), the faster an animation is executed. In theory, you could slow down some swing animations and speed up others.

That might lead to more variety in terms of batting results. It would also likely play havoc with your timing if you try to human bat. :)

If you decide to adjust the swing animation speeds, let us know what happens. I'd be curious.

I looked at the datafile and there are so many swing animations that I just decided I will just keep practicing. The reason I was asking was because I can't hit homers to save my life and i have user power at 50 and user contact at 45.

I'll just keep practicing.

Thanks for your help
