NickD
Anybody know what these attributes do? Now I know what they are supposed to do, but they don't appear to be doing it (affect strikeouts). I could not find any difference in K numbers in batters between someone with 99 chase/miss for everything and someone with 0 for the same categories in entire simmed seaons. I tried 5-10 times atleast. Anyone have any real success with these categories? Or do they truely do NOTHING? (I have done no research into IN-GAME changes, only simmed changes)
mroctober430
Take: This determines how much a batter takes that type of pitch. The higher you set it, the more he'll take. Good players mostly have high take ratings. Chase: This determines how much a batter will chase after that type of pitch. The higher you set it, the more he'll fish for bad balls. Good players have low chase ratings. Miss: This determines how likely the batter is to miss that type of pitch. The higher the rating, the more he'll miss. Good players have a low miss rating. NickD
THEY DO NOTHING  edit - check this out: I Global edited ALL Miss/Chase stats on every player by static +10 and lowered contact by 25% and the top 25 Pitchers HAD LESS Ks than they did prior. 20 More innings than Ks for guys like Santana, Lidge, Gagne, Johnson and Oliver Perez is STUPID and WRONG. Bah .... EA never fails to disappoint.
