Blue Jays Galore 2006

Hi, everyone!

I've finally come up with a homepage dedicated to my beloved Toronto Blue Jays. As I could not decide whether to play in Dynasty or Owner Mode, I figured I had to play both.

So here's my site: http://www.unet.univie.ac.at/~a9909751/mvp/Jays.htm

One page covers my Owner Mode (this is my favorite, I have to confess) and the other one is a regular Dynasty using the Jays' opening day roster. I hope you enjoy both of them!

Since I recently don't have much time to play MVP, I plan on updating my sites only once a week. But who knows, maybe I'm gonna do more... Go Jays!

Greetings from Austria,

Xi Berger

Update 06/12/2005:

Owner Mode:

I'm on a 13-game winning streak which isn't too suprising when you take a look at my roster. :D Last game was against the White Sox, a 7-0 win. Joe Mauer was a monster that night...

Dynasty:

Looks like it's my lucky week because even with my regular Blue Jays I'm on a streak - the last seven games were all Blue Jays (to speak with Kuiper!). But now I have to face the Red Sox and the Yankees. Hopefully my streak will continue. :p

Update 06/19/2005:

Owner Mode:

Last game was against the Twins. Although they got ARod, I didn't have too much trouble beating them. In the end I won 6-2 and continued my streak to seven consecutive games.

Dynasty:

Thanks to a shutout by David Bush, I was able to beat the O's 2-0. I also scored my first inside-the-park homerun this year because of Larry Bigbie's fatal error.

Go Jays!

Update 06/26/2005:

Owner Mode:

After winning 7-2 against the San Francisco Giants, I'm on a nine-game winning streak. Reed Johnson hit a grand slam at the top of the eighth inning and Chris Carpenter's record is now 9-1.

Dynasty:

Damn those Yanks! :hmph: After winning the first game at New York, I lost the following two. Derek Jeter hit homeruns in both games. Anyway, I'm still in lead in the AL East. Hopefully it stays that way until the playoffs. :wtg:

Go Jays!

Thought that this would be an appropriate thread to mention this, I play with the Jays in Dynasty Mode and I can't see to find Aaron Hill on any of the farm teams. I really want to call him up since Koskie is injured and Hill is playing on the roster quite regularily nowadays.

Not sure if anyone else noticed that Hill wasn't in the lineup for any of the new roster updates, or was he? Perhaps I installed the rosters incorrectly, anyways, let me know if anyone's got Hill in their Jays lineup or not. Another pitcher for the Jays im looking for is Walker, I forget his first name but he IS a starter and I can't see to find him either. Thanks

Yeah, sure you are. Pat Borders would be going to torrent sites to download Mvp 2005.

HAHAHA, talking about torrents in here is like popping for steroids, the suspension will end but people will not forget. I may be an A-hole sometimes and the mods don't like me but at least I buy my games.

all this chatter has gotten us off topic. has anyone else downloaded an 'updated' roster and found Aaron Hill and Pete Walker on the roster for the Jays? I have not, can anyone recommend a particular roster to download?

sorry to post again, but I was just wondering if you download updated rosters do they change the rosters in a Dynasty that I've already been playing? I'd love to get a roster with Aaron Hill and Pete Walker in my Jays lineup.

Um, Mr. Borders, sir, please refrain from hijacking threads. This thread is about xiberger's dynasty. Please do not post mod requests in here.

Oh, and if you are the real Pat Borders, I would be looking for a 1992 roster set. That was the only year you were something.

Hi!

First off, I have both Pete Walker and Aaron Hill in my roster set. I'm currently using Ultimate Roster 2.3 that has Walker on the MLB team and Hill on the Syracuse Skychiefs (AAA).

Here's a link to Walker in my dynasty: http://www.unet.univie.ac.at/~a9909751/mvp...alker_Pete.html

I didn't create pages for the minor leagues, but Hill is there (and I might call him up pretty soon :player: ).

However, I got some bad news for you, as updating your rosters won't affect your current dynasty. I know this sucks, but all you can do is start a new dynasty from scratch...

Update 07/04/2005:

Owner Mode:

The Mariners proved to be a tough challenge, as I lost the series opener 3-4. Miguel Cabrera was able to score his 24th homer of the season, but Jack Cust's three-run shot was too much to handle.

Dynasty:

No luck here either... I lost against the Phillies 2-3, with Chase Utley homering twice. Due to this, I'm now two games behind Boston, but still one game ahead of Baltimore.

Go Jays!

Update 07/21/2005:

Owner Mode:

Win number 75 of the season was driven in against the Indians. Cleveland tied the game twice, but a four-run rally in the eighth was enough to win it 8-4.

Dynasty:

The Interleague Games started with a nice 3-1 win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Gregg Zaun batted in all three runs for the Jays, earning him the title "Player of the Game".

Go Jays!

Update 08/03/2005:

Owner Mode:

YES, YES, and YES! After three long years of Owner Mode, I've finally won the World Series. It was a real battle though, thanks to Pujols and his Cincinnati Reds. In game seven I was down 0-4, but at the bottom of the eighth Hillenbrand scored a Grand Slam to tie the game. Finally, after ten innings, Reed drove in the winning run. I'm still shaking...

Blue Jays forever! :wtg:

Dynasty:

Another season ended for my Dynasty team, but I couldn't make the playoff cut. Anyway, due to the recent cyberface update (thanks to Jogar84), I will start a new Jays Dynasty because I want to enjoy those.

Go Jays!

Hey, guys!

After a longer break I have finally decided to start a new Owner Mode/Dynasty with the best baseball team in the entire world, Canada's pride and my favorite, the Toronto Blue Jays!

To give you a first impression of my Owner Mode team, here are the lineups as well as the pitching rotation after the fantasy draft:

Lineups:

mvp200520050908111301015kl.th.jpg mvp200520050908111320294fk.th.jpg mvp200520050908111335777rg.th.jpg mvp200520050908111343353rv.th.jpg

Pitching Rotation:

mvp200520050908111418849nf.th.jpg

I think it's a pretty strong team, but time will tell, heaven or hell... :player:

For my Dynasty, I'm gonna use the regular roster of the Blue Jays. I might trade Miguel Batista as I just can't pitch with him, not to mention his current real life performance, which is awful!

Since I haven't played a single game in either of these game modes, my homepage has not been updated yet. But I plan on changing that on the weekend. So, stay tuned!

Let's go, Jays!

Update 09/12/2005:

Owner Mode:

First game of the season, first loss for the Jays. The Devil Rays didn't allow much at the plate and showed their offensive skills (mainly Carlos Beltran) to win the season opener 4-2. The game was tied until the last inning, but Matt Lawton's walk-off homerun (off Guillermo Mota) decided the game. Whatever, after two more games at Tropicana Field, I will face the Red Sox which I'm already excited about.

Dynasty:

The Jays are off to a good start with 13 wins opposed to eleven losses. Last game was at Yankee Stadium and my beloved Jays ended up with 18 hits, having scored ten runs in total. David Bush wo his second straight game of the year and Frank Catalanotto showed his dominance versus RHP, as he smashed the ball for a three-run homer. Ahh, it just feels so good to win against the Yankees...

Go Jays!

First transaction of the season (Owner Mode):

I couldn't hit anything with center fielder Craig Monroe (AVG ~ .160) when I played the Yankees at home. Their CF, Aaron Rowand, had a fantastic game including two doubles and one single. After the game, I took a look into his stats and decided to trade him for Monroe. Thank God, New York accepted, and so now another White Sox player (after Podsednik, Konerko, and Pierzynski) is on my team. :wtg:
