I know some pitches like the slider and sinker are very popular pitches

among big league pitchers.

What ever happened to the Screwball and Knuckleball?

These two pitches seem to almost be a Lost Art. Very Rarely seen thesedays.

Why? are they tough to master or something?

In MVP2k5 i always like to have a screwball pitcher,,that pitch seems to be just as difficult to hit as a curve,,suprised it is not used as much in real life.

whooaaaa,,,,

Gotta go,,lightning storm getting to close.

mostly cause to much is focused on heat , not much else, speed matters in the coperate baseball world, people really don't get pumped by knuckleballers and others, its boring to some new aged fans

Every seen Carl Hubbel, the famous screwball pitcher's arm after about 8 years of pitching? It was crooked! John Franco, too. He used to throw nasty screwballs. But it's so unnatural for your arm. Also, knuckleballs are so hard to throw well enough to be a dependable pitch that not many people bother anymore. If they worked all the time they would, but take a look at Wakefield.

The screwball is a fantastic pitch to have, but it is so bad for your wrist. Only Matty won 300 games with a screwball as one of his key pitches. The knuckle is pretty hard to throw. It can get away from you, and you could give up the winning run.
